You know.chicago has/had the highest murder rate in the country birthplace of some of the most notorious gangs...I heard a gang member once say...we use to respect the OGs...but now we kill them too... just because you were respected yesterday doesn't mean your respected today...you have to mantain that respect...you could feed the hood today but then take food out of their mouth next week that's not real that's not a leader

Indian chiefs would put the tribe first and themselves last that's what made a good leader

My point is the people on here who I use to respect...have lost my respect...where's the love? All they do anymore is point fingers and put people down

I like to joke but I know the difference between laughing together and being laughed at

My dad teased us relentlessly growing up and we always kinda felt like he didn't like us. It was desensitizing, he showed us just how important it is to be independent and also how little of what others say, matters!!!

Yea my step dad would do the same to my sister he would make fun of her for not brushing her hair and her teeth...at first it hurt her feelings but she got tired of it and started taking care of herself more because she didn't want to be made fun of no more...it was genius really

Hey, sticks and stones may break your bones. But words can FUCK YOU FOREVER.
I understand
My grandfather would call us names like meathead, etc. in the middle of the store. Very loudly.
He would pass gas really loudly and blame us (I was the oldest, at 8, 2 male cousins, and my little brother).
He was terrible. Called women squaws in public and used the n word.
He also carried a pistol.
