Ok so im a newb grower.. and am def new to the whole flushing thing. Anyways im about week 3 into flowering.. and up to that point i never flushed at all.. So two days ago i watered with nutes heavier than usual.. im usuing the fox farm trio and cal mag. i used a good bit of cal mag 5 ml, with about 30 ml of big bloom, 8 ml grow big , 8 ml tiger bloom.. from there i ph treated the water... watered the plants with a different method.. alot slower. compared to my more fast waterings that penetrate more.. i dont know why i did this but anyways i did it...

anyways a day goes by and the plants look droopy... and i assume ok i just over watered.. wont do that again.. anyways another day goes by.. still droppy as hell if not even drupier looked dead... so i thought well hell maybe the bottoms are not getting enough light... so i tried lowering the lights and giving them the best light scenarios possible... didnt work.... the soil got dry as hell.. still droppy and dead... so i had no clue... gave them some plain water and watched them.. start to lean the stems.. i then looked at the leaves and saw the nute burn coming BAD.. i immediatly started flushing everything.. and they all seem too look stable right now.. i think i got a hermie out of this.. other than that... lesson learned

will get some pics up once the hps goes off and they have some time to let the flush take its course.

Plants are hardy. prolly wont get hermie. But i dont know how bad u burnt them. ur instinct to flush was rite. Just flush with clearex or flush with plain water, and then get back on schedule. you should be alright, but your crop might need another week added onto your schedule

Yeah im pretty much by my plants 24/7 since i have a illness and i am home most of the time. so i basically kept walking back and checking them and saw the progessive dying of the leaves.. litterly started happening very rapidly i noticed it and flushed. i think there was a lock out/overwatering a few days ago, and when i watered today i watered up the soil and it absorbed the nutes just sitting there since i wattered them shitty... but def need to get a accureate ph and mositure meter from the hydro shop these $12 home depot things suck ass

Ok so.... cal mag only to be used when a deficiency starts to show? / or once every two weeks

and yeah i flushed them and they are coming back to life. the leaves are twisted as shit... but thats just due to the very high ph tap water i emergently flushed them with. but there sticking up like normal again besides that. and anyways im obviously not going to water again until my new moisture meter im going to get from the hydro shop shows me the soils dry... and ill even probably do a only water , water as well not even use nutes... but ok.. im using the fox farm trio.. how do i use this stuff.. everyone says this and that... for my plants how do i know how much water to give each one based upon size and pot ratio.. i still have no figured out a good formula of that and just watering based upon my opinion which seems to be wrong (just basically getting all the soil wet but not soaked)

I need all the help i can get right now as i need these plants for a medical use. one is going hermie on me but im still going to castrate it everyday and keep it.. i cant lose em! thanks guys.. also should i get a ppm meter i dont really have much clue of what this means and if i should get one as i dont know of its significance.

Hey I hope everything turns out OK, just use the less is more routine from now on and you'll be fine. Glad you flushed, that was the proper step. If the plants look fine using regular doses of nutes is perfect. Even using 1/2 strength is fine. Some nutes are stronger than others, but you can always add more. Same with watering. Since you flushed, I would wait to feed. Let the soil dry a couple times and in between just use water, feed on the third watering say at 1/2-3/4 strength nutes then start the regular water -water-feed-water-water-feed schedule. I don't know about the ff trio, but whatever it says to use, use 1/2strength. You can always work the plants up to full strength over time when they get used to it. As for water, stick a finger in the soil, if its dry and dusty all the way down to a few inches you're probably safe to water. When the pot is dry pick it up and see how heavy it is, then when you water, do the same, you'll be able to tell when it needs water by the weight of the pot with practice. Wish u luck

If you buy RO water ( reverse osmosis), that will help a lot with pH, you shouldn't need a pH meter with ro water, but I'm not positive, I don't do much soil, just a few here and there and I use tap water. Don't go crazy doing all sorts of different things, take it one step at a time. I promise you that when the plants are doing weird things, flush, then step back take a deep breath, and let them work it out themselves for a few days. You'll be surprised what a good flush will do, and then you can just start the regular feeding and watering routine. I've never used a pH meter for soil when using ro water, its fairly cheap too. Give that a shot if you can if your tap water isn't too good

you want him to go drop 350$ on an ro station? Steo back and leave your plants to come back to life. Don't waste money. And you NEED a ph pen. ffs

Yeah I think spring water is about a 6.5 ph it is just reverse osmosed once. I'll check the ph at the store thanks for the support guys. There all doing ok right now in the dark. The flush saved them for sure. So now I'll just sit back and relax until they recovered and will follow ur advice alpha and lay off the nutes for 3 watering unless a deficency shows. But thanks guys hopefully I'll
Be okay I'll def keep everyone up to date wih pics and what not and make sure everything works out

Sorry im having a bad, didn't mean to sound like I was off the wall, I guess when I put caps on its a whole other level of text, but I just was saying ro waters cheap is all, and it saves lots of problems, especially since the op is using cal mag. My bad, didn't mean to offend anyone, just pinched a nerve for some reason. Sorry.
