If the root strands are clumping together and progressively getting browner then yup. It's really hard to tell but one pic shows them clumping in the middle so keep an eye on it. You could proactively treat it now and I would, once it sets in its a bitch to get gone, I know

temps never got higher than 65oF, just bennies added and rhizo.

The roots that are healthy halfway down that page look like mine...
The roots in the middle were a little covered with some stuff, but i read also that could be good bennies?
im still unsure whats what?
Do you think there is enough air in the bucket. its a 6gallon bucket with 2 airstones and 8w air pump.

It's that the air is not penetrating the middle of the root zone I think. My temps are around 70 and I run sprayers and bennies, this is the first time I've had an issue. I don't run air stones so not sure about the amount. I'm throwing bleach, h2o2 at them right now to try and save them but it's looking rather bleak. I stopped using the bennies and am now running sterile

It does not look like rot. They could be stained from solutions. They could be brown from detritus. They could be brown because you are exposing them to light to keep looking at them. 
If they were rotten you would know it. First use your nose. Then use your fingers. If its pudding its rotten. If its stringy its a brown root leave it alone and in the dark. Seal your res from light.

From the pics it doesn't look like it, they look just like mine do when they get stained from the nutes.

have you ever had the roots I've had using bennies?
does detritus form when using Bennies, can bennies cause it as they break down the organic roots. , if you was to look at the roots under a 400w light say 1 minute a day could that cause them to go brown?It does not look like rot. Detritus always happens. Sometimes you want it there. Sometimes you want it gone. Look into products like hygrozyme.

Yes right now as a matter of fact lol. But as I've said it's the first time this bad but seems with the sprayers it's always a struggle.

Ok gotchya, like said earlier, it may not be rot as they do look pretty healthy other than the color and yes it may be just staining. Mine have lost all of the fine hairs, they don't smell though, and my leaves told the story as well with blotchy dead parts.

Shouldnt get root rot with an aero setup unless its a setup issue. The spraying and (im assuming its recirc) drain back should be putting plenty of o2 into the water, not to mention if you are allowing a break in the spraying and not running 24/7 they should be drying just enough to induce growth of roots including the small air roots to allow the plant enough o2.
I.E. it should not be an o2 problem....and if res temps are around 65 it shouldnt be a temp problem....most likely if pythium is in the system it came from a plant when it was put in....and something along the lines of hygrozyme to treat should get rid of it if caught early enough....if not the h2o2 should knock it out....then resume beneficial dosing to help prevent in the future.

I have high temps but am working on it 
. And yup got from some thing in my system. First time I've had it so not sure where it came from but it's a bad case. I've thrown bleach, now h2o2 at it so we'll see. I think it's a losing battle. Figures as they are the most expensive seeds I ever bought.
