I assume that if you had a heart attack you would roll the dice and go to the hospital?you could end up in the hospital with a sore tooth and a couple hours later ..wind up DEAD!
Hospitals in Canada do not have to say WHY YOU DIED.. and are allowed to COVER IT UP!
So yer best to deal with things yourself the way I see it.

"Police say it unfolded quickly.." Really? They shot the fucker dead! All those fuckin cops couldn't deal with person without shooting him? Got this shit is really starting to irritate me. Of course the cop that shit him had minor injuries...so it sounds like the guy didn't have a gun or anything....

They (our medical society) would simply CHANGE THEIR DIET and wouldn't ya know...the patient would live a good long life after that.

That story doesn't really say if the guy had a weapon...we'll have to wait for the details I guess. I agree with you about the number of people being shot by police. Sad part is that many of these people are just mentally ill and there is no place to treat them.
I know I'm FAR from normal, but...I have serious issues with going to a hospital myself, the ONLY local one in particular. I have been treated like shit there for 20 years, and I won't subject myself to that treatment again. I had a seizure a few years ago and came to in the ambulance...I made them turn around and take me back home. True story. It cost me $80 for the ride tho!

but really.. you have to keep your eyes and ears open and Question the shit they try and tell you. You are their "make work" project after all and everyone who walks away and helps themselves is another money pit walking away. If you watch for that, it becomes very obvious when you deal with the system.

What I never understood was that they were given given tasers so that they wouldn't have to shoot people. Now they just use tasers instead of talking to people, and shoot more frequently. If someone else had a knife a tasers would be more than appropriate, yet they still shoot (like the Toronto ttc shooting).
