Is it bud rot? Mold? Stress?

The other day I went to check on one of my guerilla plots and noticed a
broken branch laying on the ground. This plant has very heavy branches, it
was started indoors in late december, put out in march in a one gallon pot
to be sexed and then revegged. It never got any buds formed during that
time period, only showed pistils, then revegged afetr a couple weeks,
throughout the summer revegging and forming calyxes here and there the
whole time period. It is a monster and has huge branches. i started lst'ing it
as soon as I put it in the ground. Now the branches are heavy and the one that
broke I duct taped back together. It came back looking normal after the first
few days of repair.

When found broken though the branch seemed a little dried out at the last 9 inches of the tip beyond repair, but from there down the branch was just a
little wilted, so I cut the bad part off. Lastnight i checked up on it and it was
back to normal all except about 8 inches below where I sliced the previous
damaged top off. The tips of the small forming bud leaves were yellow to
brown and curled and twisted, some parts of the stem was brown and sort of
mushy so I cut the bad part off again lastnight and this time instead of leaving
the wound open I covered it air tight with duct tape. When I looked at the
buds I removed from the new damaged branch one piece just kinda easily
fell apart and was kind of brownish and had very tiny looking webbing in it.
Should I go and remove this entire branch from the plant or do you think
since I covered the wound that it will stop spreading? Or is it even sound like
bud rot or mold? Im not sure, I cant post any pics but from what descritption
I have gave, in your best opinion, what would you consider the problem be?
In advance, thanks.

No one can tell you anything without a picture.

No one is going to read that paragraph either.

Sounds like bud rot (bortrytis.) But dude, that was one hell of a preamble, you got to get to the point or people are going to lose interest. The fact that you have no pics usually constitutes scrolling past this thread. Either way, despite me drinking beer tonight, I was able to read all that.

Well, i'm sorry but you just read that paragraph. Are you a no one? And as stated I have gave the
best description I possibly could. You know, i'm not in a med legal state unfortunately like most are
on here. I live in Kentucky, eastern Ky at that. There is zero tolerance for marijuana here in this state
and I think its in my best intrest not to post pics. This isnt a picture forum. It is a place to go for help,
help others and share ideas, not be a smartass. I think you should research the law a bit in Ky before
throwing out silly opinions.

You guys can call me paranoid. I dont care. I know the system a bit better than you think and it is so
easy to get caught, tracked and very possible through via internet postings. I used to be a bit more on
the idiotic side of posting pictures when I was a "kid". You know how everyone says pictures are worth
a thousand words? Well, not only that, they strongly prove evidence in court and can be traced from
the location posted. Now if I were under my limits 4 plants and under is a misdemeanor, 5 and over a
felony of up to 5 years in prison, I would gladly post a few pictures.

An immediate family member of mine is a fed and we have alot of conversation of marijuana and
how people get caught. I have a family, I want my family, not be in jail cells with a bunch of guys for
the rest of my life over growing a beautiful, mis understood god planted flower. I am a commercial
grower, it is in my best intrest NOT to post pics. Now, please, could anyone help me that is
understanding? Thanks..

hahaha psychedilud I appreciate yer concern but you can't expect much help without a photo. brown, rotten material usually stands out as something that needs to be removed, usually a few inched below the infected site. if the rot continues down the stem every time you take the bad part off, I'd remove the whole branch. I suggest using Occam's razor
