Is 8 inch 800cfm overkill for a 4x8 tent ?

Even on low it causes the top floor of my.house to become cold and the tents are in the very basement of home ...basement is not really that well sealed off .

In flower the 8 inch fan will be hooked up to a 1000w and my 24 inch carbon filter but I dont usually run a carbon filter in veg but I think I have to to slow the fan down a bit .

All about speed control. 8 inch doesnt feel like overkill. A 1k light doesn't seem right for that space. I would do 2x 600s or just use one end of that tent

I have a 6" in my 4X8 and I wish I had an 8" as I've got it at full blast and it doesn't seem to be enough at times.

Thanks for the replies yeah theres other lights for that tent actually 1 or 2 more 400w but wing hoods not vented...ok yeah thanks guys figured it was fine and I think after I attach a filter and dull down the cfms a bit I will have less air travelling through house and should be ok
