Humic acid in my super soil?

Is humic acid needed in my S.S mix, if the plants are growing well already. My soil that has already been used once before, currently sits on the high side with a p.h of about 7.6. I soak actual limes in the water to make it acidic before I give it to them, and they seem to be doing well at 6 weeks of veg.

Anyways, I'm making more 15 gallon pots of s.s and I'm wondering if I add the humic acid pellets to the mix at the same rate as my amendment,(1/2 cup per c.f), if that's all I should need to make my soil a little more acidic, and keep it in that range?

Sounds like a strong shot of humid acid. I use bioag tm7 at 1/4 a teaspoon per gallon of water.

You can add humic acid but only in small quantities. You can easily "overdo it" which will likely dip ph down slightly for a time. It's probably a good idea to also add in a ph buffer like crushed oyster shell or D-lime to balance ph. Hard to believe that fresh squeezed lime juice is doing much of anything helpful. Adjust the soil not the water.
