How should i position my lights.

Well i have three pots lined up next to eachother
but i have no reflector, just got an e40 hanger
so i have two 125w cfl's ( dual spec ).. so obviously going to be hanging them vertically

so what i'm asking is that should i place each bulb seperately over each pot, but then the one in the middle will be getting light from the sides, not above
because two pots will have a bulb right above them, but the one in the middle will have nothing , just lights on the side
will it be better for me to put the lights in the gaps like..

the BLACK = plant pots
the GREEN = Plant
Red lines = Positioning of TWO CFL'S
Blue lines = Positoong of two cfl's

which line should i go with? should i place the two cfl's down like the ' red lines ' or ' blue lines ' ..
blue = right above two plant pots ( middle plant pot will have light on sides )
red = in the middle of all pots ( so all the plants have light on the side )

I DONT KNOW IF YOU GUYS WILL UNDERSTAND THIS, BUT I TRIED MY BEST EXPLAINING IT!

i will rather go for the red setting, if im sure i understood what u r talking about that it
Oh and i think reflectors come in handy, check up and see if there are cheap ones!! Coz it makes sure plants gets satisfactory amount of light...

i like what i see from the drawing but if you can get some wyes and some more cfls they dont have to be that "big" any wattage will do but the more the merry...look up a book by seemorebuds about cfls great master plan there for cfl growing

sorry i thought all four were for the set up id go for the ones in the middle of the pots but i rec you get more clfs and wye splitters. forget reflectors with cfls they are a waste of time just get the pig tails as close as possible to your plants

Red one it is then, i will plant russian rocket fuel in the middle pot for maximum coverage yeah
so light from both sides
then other two on the pots on the outside
should go good,
and i will add more cfl's sooner, with clip on lamp leads

what yields could i get per plant?
if i lst'd aswell
