How Physically Fit are you?

My workout consists of the following

Lower body:
Hiking to my grow area with 40-50lbs of soil and/or water strapped to my back... usually an hours hike or so. Once a week. Also ride my bike or swim for 30 min. once a week or so.

Upper Body:
35 pull ups
35 dips
50 push ups
20 reps doing flys with 80 lbs
20 reps doing bicep curls with 80lbs
... this is all done in two sets with a minute or so rest. I'm pretty much constantly working for 20-25 minutes. It's a strength/endurance and cardio workout, given that my heartrate stays up in cardio range for 30 min. or so (counting cool down).

Do this twice a week.

All this keeps me in good enough shape so that when I go surfing (the few times a year I get to), I don't pass out trying to paddle out through the breakers.

Yeah, that's decently fast. My fastest pace in cross country was 7:15 (for 3 miles), 6:15 or so for one mile. We had guys on our teem running like 5:40 (for 3 miles). There were fast as hell.

Most people can't even run a freaking mile, and most who can will run it in 9 or 10 min, I'd say. I have no idea what I would run now. I haven't run for years, I just bike and swim. I should try it and see, just for out of curiosity.

when i do run a mile, it takes about 12 mins. unless you run everyday and have lots of stamina, it isnt easy running a >10 min mile

I do pull ups, and some running.. I can run about an 8min mile, but I'm a pack/day smoker + weed so you have to figure my lungs aren't in great shape.. So I'm happy with an 8min mile... Coughing lots along the way though.

5'8"--170lbs......i weighed 240 new years day of this year. i mow my lawn once a week, thats all the excersise i get!!!

I'm much more of a high rep low weight kinda guy. 6'3 195. Used to fight MMA a few years back and was 220 and strong as an ox, but now i just think of myself as in "good" shape.

my work is pysical
i quite tobbaco 6 years ago and also turn 40
so i am getting that middrife thing going on
but not smoking is great increase lung space
