That was just a "cut and paste" job.
A hell of a lot easier (and better worded) then me typing out the answer!


Using a Silica is a very good idea!

For hydro:

Fill you Res with 1/4 the water you need to use.
Add the needed amount of Si.
add the remaining amount of water you need and THEN add your nutrient and mix well.

For soil:

Add the SI on the water only days!

Organic water only growers usually supplement the soil with things that contain Si broken down by the myco's for use by the plant.

I always use si on its own in ro water ph 6.5in between feeds

is silicon the same with silica?
i mean, i read amazing things silica can do to my plants. is silicon going to do the same specific things (better resistance to different kinds of stress, thickening stems, bushier plants etc. etc.)?
at my growstore the difference between silicon and silica is really big, silicon is much cheaper. So, if I would go with silicon, would it be the same? or that difference in price means difference in benefits?
