How fast does plant recover?

Hi all,

3. time grower here, but 1. time hydro-grower.
I'm growing a GSC Auto she's on day 19 from sprouting.

Yesterday I noticed a slight discoloration on one of the leaves. First I assumed it was a nute deficiency, as I'm only using 3/4 nutes and didn't think it was nute burn. The Ec also said 0.7 (which is quite low I think) so didn't think of nute burn.
PH was a different story. It was between 7 and 8 (using color chart). So I adjusted PH with PH down and topped up the reservoir with PH'd water. Last res. change was Monday (I change weekly)

But today the leaven look even worse. Can any of you guys tell me what you think?
Can the PH from yesterday keep damaging the leaves? The PH tonight is 5.5

Pictures below: is from yesterday and today.

My setup is as follows:
1,5x1.5x4 ft secret Jardin grow tent
300w Mars hydro led running 18/6. Distance to plant is 30 inch
Intake fan, keeping temp down a circulating air around the plant
Dwc with 5gl reservoir maintaining a 73°F temp
Nutes is GH trio using a 3/4 of suggested strength Also using Orca in the res.
Roots are looking fine and white.

leaves discolor for many reasons. Mine discolor when the plant transition to flowering stage.
yours may be doing the same thing, like they all do.

Yellowing or paling, of middle/upper leaves in full light, especially in veg stage, is never normal!
I have never done hydro, so i can't help you on how exactly to fix your issue, i can only comment on the plant symptoms, and what the plant is showing is it's not getting enough magnesium. Whether this is due to your ph change, or feeding issue, i can't say, as again, im not a hydro guy, but plant symptoms are the same regardless of medium :)

Hmm I think it's a bit worse, unfortunately But thanks for the input :)

Thanks - I'll flush asap and prepare a new batch, this time with full nutes, hoping it will cure it.

The Mars instruction said 30 inch when in veg and 18 in flower. Always used CFL so this is my first led :)

We'll if it is a mag deficiency I think it's better to be on the safe side and change res. I mean it can stop growth and being and auto I'd like her to grow as big as possible during veg :)

Wouldn't it be very early for losing leaves during flower? I mean it's and auto it's rather fast finishing, but still.. It's only day 20? Or is it normal to drop leaves this early?

Just took a few more pics One in daylight and one with flash in grow tent

It has spread and more leaves seems to be affected. So maybe it's normal, but I did a res change and X my fingers it will be better (or at least not worse) tomorrow IMG_20180928_145308.jpg IMG_20180928_145313.jpg

Yes, relax and listen to lost people telling you overall intervenial chlorosis of the plant is perfectly normal! lol. A magnesium deficiency will exist for quite some time before symptoms are seen, then it goes to how yours are, paling between the veins and for you it seems the whole plant, next symptom, all those paling leaves will turn more yellow and then necrotic, especially as you head into flower and magnesium demands will be even higher! Best of luck, one learns through mistakes! ;)

what is those two streaks going down the middle of your thumbnail? i got the same thing, or had, the same thing on a pinky nail it took like 5 yrs to go away

your GH series has magnesium in it, and calcium too, everything needed from start to finish. ph will affect exactly what is up taken by the plant in a given period. Raise it some and you might see a change, 5.5 is not ideal imo. If you do have a deficiency its from an up take problem not because it needs to be added. thats the biggest error I've seen growers do
