HLG 650 R grow

Got the HLG 650R today and right away I switch out competitors LEDs with this led … gonna use it from clone to thru veg and finish with flower , I’ll be adding in there HLG UV light when flower .. I’m in a 4x4 x7 tent so I’m sure I won’t be at on strength but depends how much time I’ll let them in veg or how big they get … if every thing goes well I’ll be adding HLG in my veg tent , but for now will see how this goes …. The bigger plant where just heavy defoliated , see how long for them to bush out … right now the settings is on the 3rd notch …

Awesome! I’m running their 600r and love it. I’ll also be adding the Uv bar during flower.

Very nice! Was just researching this light to replace a home made cob fixture. What kind of heat is it putting off?

106 degrees F* top of driver ,temp in tent is staying between 79-81* this is in a 4x4 , 7 feet tall… running a 6 inch fan that turns on when temp goes above 82 degrees .

That’s really helpful - once I have the capability to do so, I’ll come back and “like”

Im along for the ride, your tent is similar so this should be a perfect opportunity to see how the 650r does.

Ok I switch a few things up cause I want to see how these do in flower… Sunday pie ( mother) is week 3 in flower , so we will follow this to finish .. the other 2 are weeks to finish , give or take a week … right now the light is 20” from top of the plant and the knob is just above the half way mark .. gonna order the UVA light today so that be another change and of course nutrient and water habit will change too … gonna turn up the knob up every few days and see where she gets mad at..lol….

Temps in tent staying between 79-81 degrees… humidity 65 percent …

Reason why I thru these ladies under the HLG 650r in start of flower ,well 3 weeks in on the Sunday pie ( big one ) cause I already know what I got from previous grow … nothing changed but the light so that’s a good test.. know only concern I have is she only 2-1-2’ away from light , little close and the lights are just over half strength , I’ll keep bumping it up still I see either cook leafs or bleaching ..lol… of course under 12/12 light they need all that light they can get and of course the nutrients too . But so far they are loving it …. There 2 small ladies in there and they don’t look to shabby … and I put my hand on top to see how warm the 650r is , warm to touch which I like … temps light on are 79-81 degrees , light off lowest is 71 degrees … right in range .. ph around 60% which I’ll lower it to mid 50s…. ( these are night pics) .

The UVA light came and installed…. For now I’m gonna run it for 2 hrs … an hour in morning and an hour before lights out till they get use to it….. here are a few pics .

Sunday pie doing well , other 2 are finishing up ….now I’m letting the UV light on for 12/12

Update had to up pot from a 5 gallon pot to 10 gallon pot ( huckleberry gusher) and move her to flower tent , of course took clones of her . Will see how she stresses … we have Sunday pie , red dragon , horchata… got a full tent ..lol…. But red dragon , and horchata are soon done …. Maybe 5 weeks on Sunday pie ….
