HLG 260 QB V1 & V2 does anyone use them anymore?

Headline is my question. Are the newer QB’s that much better having Rspec. Is it worth a change or ride these models out? Thanks to those who respond. I don’t want to buy new lights at the moment

They are still as efficient as they were. Differences are minimal vs new lights, unless you like other colors in there

Ya. I have some V1's. They work well. I have the 5000k for veg. I have a couple 3000k ones, but I haven't tried them yet. In my flower room I have a few Rspecs and a couple 100's in 3000k. I'm gonna put the 260's where the 100's are, but haven't done it. The 100's work pretty good.

I wouldn't worry about getting new ones.

They do depreciate light output over time.
So it depends how long you've been running the v1s for.

That Irish guy Shane on youtube (Migro) did some tests.

That said my v1s are still pumping out decent and I've had them since first release.

I run the V1s...they were 1/4 the price of the others and efficiency is still 2.5.

No they don't even really know what exact spectrum will be "best". They have increased a bit of the red spectrum since V1 and slightly improved efficiency.

If you really have a concern you can buy some red supplements. I have a Saber I have used which is more like the V2. It has pluses and minuses. The red ime causes more stretch in veg and enhances flowering slightly.

The V3 board have efficiency up to 3, but the increased cost is not worth it imo. I honestly dont know why they charge so much, or why they never have them in stock. They encourage customers to go elsewhere with those attributes (imo). That said I'm a huge fan of HLG. All I have been running.
