hey all so long story short like years short lmao i stopped growing because of some issues in my personal life i lost contact with some amazing people here! and sad to see that some profiles are not active anymore and wish i could chat it up with the past members.. i lost contact with jaws does anyone know anything about him?

i also have some gear that i once used but now they have been sitting in my tub of beans for lots of years and would like to know if they are still good? ill upload some pictures of the beans if that is allowed? so much has changed since then i think last time i was here was like 2015? or 2016

any help would be very appreciated

Welcome back, hope you enjoy getting into the best Hobbie there is!! Going to get a journal going? I'd love to see your old seedstock, there is some tricks you can try to improve germination on old seeds. As long as they didnt get too hot or humid I bet they're fine!

if they were stored in a fridge the whole time should be fine, i germinated some seeds from 2016 no issues every one of them popped. i heard you can use hydrogen peroxide to clean the outside of them prevents them from molding before they germinate in the medium since germination will likely take much longer due to age and storage outside of a fridge im assuming could take 10 days + make sure your area for germination is dialed as far as temp and humidity go.

The seeds: Really depends on how they were stored. Cool dark place, some should still be good, but there will be duds. Fridge, storage will give you a better % of germination. Bottom line, it's a crapshoot.

About 20 years ago I found some old seeds from my Humboldt daze, they were 20+ years old and stored in a box in a glass vial in my garage, I got one out of about 20 to pop.

thank you so much yes i think thats him! awesome and i hope too :( they have been to hell and back and i hope that they are fine! becaues i would hate to lose these genetics hopefully i can learn to take them and make more seeds of the same plant? so i can save them!

and right now i dont have anywhere to full send these so i hope i can figure something out! i ''donated'' some to a buddy because i felt like i would never get to grow these again

Hope you find something special with the old packs! It wouldnt hurt to research the lineage of each seeds parents then go from there as far as figuring which one you'd like to start with.

Here's a thread I followed from a user here @The Mantis where he starts going through some old seed stock. He approaches a few different methods and has some insightful breeding practices. He actually started up his own seed company too called Plant Time Genetics and sent out some freebies which I'm growing for the second time (funky cold medina)
Seed vault jailbreak - genes gone wild | Rollitup

If I were you I'd take a few different approaches to germination--
-worm castings as innoculant
-manually cracking hardened seeds (think a nutcracker but smaller)
-scuffing+h202 soak+ water soak, then to a medium with innoculants and such (method I use
-theres an acid I think gibberilic you can mess with It may be something else though
-a member here mentioned using tomato seeds to germ with I never checked how true that was
-keeping the seedling germination area warm and humid
-if failing with old seeds you think are precious, try practicing on old/new seeds that aren't! Or practice first with the seeds you don't care about
-use fresh (not old mildew/moldy) starter medium
-Lunar Planting

thank you soo much! on this info i just saw that the thug pug genetics Sherbet Breath are like $350 for a pack of 10 fuck! i hope i can save these man these are old like when he first started them

yeah you may want to save those and either sell them if they're still sealed or make sure you keep cuttings if you get them to germ and they turn out special. I've been just re-vegging my plants I like because it seems like less of a hassle than keeping cuttings the whole time they're budding. Good luck with the germ man I hope everything works out for you getting back into things

Sup man long time no see.

I still got loads of jaws..was buying his stuff wholesale for abit before c19 and all that b.s

Been awhile since i spoke to him!
. Your older beans should be fine.

Rainbow cookies was crazy good. I still have afew packs of that and other early hybrids of theres. Back when they were worth the 50 bucks..not the 250 they are now lol.

Thug blew up also..

Packs of meatbreath & ppb were being auctioned for like 2k++ Usd or more during covid. Then imo self imploded himself with majjor thirst getting involved with abunch of IG slooots/breeding scheme.

Lots has happened.

Greenline organics went off the deep end and finally shut it down after his 7055th excuse and ripped abunch of people off

Thats a good catchup thread to read if you wanna start anywhere and have a good laugh.

Glad to see ya back.

Ive also taken a growing hiatus myself. Gonna venture back in and blow up the jaws thread again!

Also i seen u asking about seedbanks..lots of breeders do direct now. I suggest checking out clearwater thread.

Is cherry pie breath a thug strain.

I grew blackcherry breath and it was fire aswell.

Some great packs to start back with in there!

Dam man! Crazy i think the last time i was here was 2016 lol cant believe so much has happened cherry pie breath i think is a @genuity strain…

and i hope my sherb breath from thug pug cracks i think i have like 8 beans left i hope i can s1 these thug pugs cause i wanna save them especially if they’re super old stock
