Hi RIU - Hoping for help here. Potency, taste and yield are not making the grade. 2 Master Kush and 2 Blackberry Kush from clones in DWC, tap water (135 PPM /7.2 ph) ph'd to 5.8 in veg and 6.0 in bloom. Using AN Jungle Juice 3 part series up to 700PM (includes ppm of tap water). Cal-mag, Superthrive and Aquashield added in veg. Cal-Mag, Liquid Koolbloom and Bud candy added in bloom. 3-5 day flush. Room Temp 72-74 degrees, water temps 68-70. Avg girl 32 inches and bushy. Yeilds about 1 oz dry per girl. Mixed cfls in veg, 600 watt HPS in bloom. Should I consider changing nutrient lines ,strains or what? lately noticing salt build up on sides of rez and ph takes longer to stabilize. Appreciate advice especially from experienced growers. Losing faith...What am I doing wrong?

Well, it kinda depends. Were the plants healthy during flower up until the end? If they were stressed out then you didnt reach their full potential and improving things in subsequent grows could get you better bud. But if they were healthy plants all the way and youre just underwhelmed with the finished product then the strains arent for you and you oughta grow something else.

It sounds like youre pretty detail oriented so Im guessing its just some lame clones.

Clones are several generations from original beans from 1st grow (about a year ago). Some struggles with cal-mag deficiencies and ph at times but otherwise steady growth. Just poor yields and light buzz. Hung dry til stems snap but not break (5 days avg) Then jar'd and burped til balanced (about 2 wks).

Sounds like it needs to cure. My bud doesn't reach its potential until 3-4 weeks after the chop. A lot of compounds are converting and changing as the plant dies. Give it a slow dry and jar for better quality.

Thanks all. I'll cure longer. Any input on how to increase yields. girls are usually topped 2-3 times and lollipopped.

Dude if you lolipop you should supercrop then you get a thick big main cola.
peesonly my best results are lolipop, supercrop, and i do minor lst ( to cause multiple bud sites)
I supercrop at 2 weeks and lolipop the day i kicked to flower.
then lst once i saw the first hair under a 10x scope.

optimal conditions with no stress maximizes yield. conditions meaning temp, humidity, light, air exchange, nutrient rich root zone, and good timing on giving the plant the nutrients it needs when it needs them.

More light in flower will help some....
Hmm, koolbloom is 0-10-10 and bud candy is Mg with no sulfur.

When do you add the koolbloom? At 6 weeks is where you MIGHT add a bulking agent to your mix.

I tend to wonder what that 135 ppm of the water IS?

Cutting out the tap water and going to RO MAY help solve the problem!

Drop the Bud Candy and search "How to make your own sweet" on this site and try that instead. (10ml in early flower-to 4 weeks. Then 15ml for 2 weeks. Then 20ml for the last 2 before wash for every gallon of mix)

Something is damned wrong for you to be getting only an oz per plant in that set up.
I grow soil, not hydro, so someone else will need to advise you.
Something is wrong though. 600watt light in hydro should be getting quite abit more in my opinion.

I'd be pissed if I got 1oz on a 600W but that's just me.

On topic though, I bought some $5 bags of reggie when I was a kid that smelled like straight dank shit and it smoked good too but smelled 100x better than what it smoked like.

He's doing 4 plants, not 1. It's a tiny yield for hydro though.

I agree something is wrong. 1 oz dry per girl being the avg. I hoped for at least 200g dry. (is that reaching??) Which is why I was wondering about the Jungle Juice. I run the liquid Koolbloom and sweetner from week 2 thru 6, then dry koolbloom week 7-8 and flush week 9. Would upload what's coming next but RIU not letting me add pics right now.

Ok, time to reply with some opinion, instead of more attempts to fix what you have...

I run DWC in 5 gallon pails with plants in hydroton (Tried the new "stones" and had increased pH instability -went back to what works for ME).
Air temps 65-72, Humidity 45%, and water used is RO (so USE a Cal/Mag!). Lighting is 1K per 4x4 area, 24" above the canopy.
I run Hesi nutrients (Super clean nutrient) minus the supervit and add H&G Amino treatment at a rate of 1.1ml per gallon and Sea Green at the same rate to boost the Amino/vits/fulvics in flower, and superthrive in veg.
In Veg. I run Hesi's "roots" only at every complete refill ! (I'll explane how I "change nutes" at the end.)
Use the Hesi as per their feeding chart and with the above additives...pH after mixing!

Nutrient in the bucket is added back and complete changes like this.
I keep my nute level in the bucket 1/2 to 1 inch below the bottom of the "plant holder".
As the level goes down I add back a 33% nutrient concentration as needed until I have reached the TOTAL amount of nutrient solution in the bucket.
At this point I dump the "used" solution out and replace with fresh...
I have tried many different nutrients and find this is what works best for ME in a cost to benefit ratio....
Others I might suggest would be - Canna and Dynagrow.

Yes AN works ,, but I find it costly and don't like how they "run" their company...

This is the method that works best for ME.
If you must try to boost the P&K more then they say in the last 2 weeks of flower, simply add 5ml more of the PK 13/14 and try that.....But I would run straight first and adjust as needed from there!

Good Luck!
