hey guys, first time posting here.. im in middle of my grow, i started all my 7 plants plants in FFOF, i transplanted 5 of the bag seeeds one into ProMix HP 60% / perlite 20% / and worm castings 20%. and i started 2 feminized beans a little after so i started them in 1 gal pots which is what they are all in. anywho im gonna transplant them shortly and im wondering if i should transplant the 2 that are still in FFOF into happyfrog with perlite/castings since its more similiar to FFOF? ill probably end up transplanting the 5 bag seed ones that are in the Promix HP now into that again so its similar. planning to top dress with giai green 4-4-4. also i hve bat guano..should i be using that towards flowering time or no since i have the 4-4-4 and the powerbloom??? thanks in advance everyone, look forward to chatting with u guys!!

Plant them all in the same stuff. For simplicity. Fox Farms products are too expensive for what they are. Straight Pro Mix. No need for extra perlite. Just use the HP instead of the BX.
ty for reply. so your saying the ones i have in FFOF be better to transfer into happy frog since same brand? others ill stick with same mixture.

ok cool, appreciate yall. ill stick to my 60% promix hp /20%perlite/20% castings?? or should i do bat guano instead since itll be closer to flowering??? im also gonna put some 4-4-4 giai green in for now, and then do half/half 4-4-4 and the powerbloom when closer to flipping 12/12

for me FFOF is best and lowest cost option for most. i also reuse my soil. i do add perlite to new soil.

when i reuse soil for next round, i add azomite and dolomite lime before transplanting. then feed like normal.

BOL, happy farming :blsmoke:

I get FFOF for $22 a 3 Cu. Ft bag, it's a very good soil. Happy Frog is significantly different than Ocean Forest. When I'm done with the soil it goes into my compost bin, where I can amend it over the winter and use it again in the spring.

I alternate between Promix HP and Fox Farms Happy Frog every other grow and reuse the same soil. I never have to ph my tap water and use dr. earths to topdress. I do the same exact feeding and watering styles for both mediums and the crops thrive either way. I've amended these soils for a while, added perlite, earth worm castings, dolomite lime, insect frass and probably some other odds and ends. Both The Happy Frog and HP Promix are great options and very similar, especially when you're reusing the same batch over and over again.

I proved that its idiot proof!

Don't buy Fox Farms we already have too many "What's wrong with my plants!?" threads. Get ProMix HP or HP-CC, some brand of Potassium Silicate (PH UP) and a 16 lb tub of Maxibloom.
You may not need to use Potassium Silicate depending on starting water. With RO you will need it as Maxi mixes acidic in purified water.
Feel free to add any type of microbial teas/additives you want..

Feed around 5 grams per gallon of MaxiBloom start to finish.
Shoot for a final pH of 6.0-6.4
