No...that's a Federal law/and it's a Federal form that askes the question if you smoke weed/are addicted to any illegal drugs/etc. (they even go on to say "Medical" means nada

5 YEAR mandatory minimum for having a gun with a grow or in the same locale as sales have transpired. Brandish the gun and it goes to 10 years. Have an AK/Uzi/etc...you get a 25 year vacation....no parole for any of 'em. You don't see tons of folks going down this way but if they want to fuck you...they surely could...no lube.

IF the FEDS are involved in a bust it likely isn't a home grow/etc. If it is.....the perps are into >more< than just weed. Most folks have no worries but the laws ARE still on the books should some smart ass/cocky DA decide to take someone down hard.

Everybody has to weigh the risks for themselves. We've been at this for over 2 decades and tossed the guns aside many years ago to focus on growing more bud without that particular threat in the mix. We figured we could make far more money off bud than guns.

And that we did. :finger: the FED is right.

"Illegal grow" read the 1st paragraph in the link you provided. Even legal med grows are legal to own and possess firearms.

DO NOT bring said firearm when you meet ppl with herb or plants in the vehicle.
That's illegal.

Sorry but Michigan is now rec LEGAL. It's legal to own and possess guns while growing weed, LEGALLY.

The Fed doesn't recognize our "legality". Show me differently, please. Anywhere. Then read down this Federal form...the one >every< legal, registered firearm/owner/purchaser/etc. has to fill out. Read it until you get to the part I was talking about above. If you can't use or possess medical pot and have a gun in your possession...do you seriously believe that any "Rec" laws change anything?

Either way...it's an individual thing...like sales...and those associated risks. Just pointing out what the Federal law says. When I see that form changed I'll believe it is "legal".

Be safe all.

Not if the feds get you ...you will drop $20, 000 in defense and may lose your freedom and guns

What you personally "buy" or think doesn't matter when it comes to the shit hittin' the fan and the laws as written on the books. While it IS a Federal issue overall...even your State boys know gun ownership and legal weed cannot be combined legally due to that same Federal law. The State looks the other way with the "Rec" thing because weed is making them tax $$. Your guns are not. In fact, they are a threat LEO just doesn't want to encounter. If you've ever had the boys over for tea you might have heard them ask..first...before anything else is said (other than GET DOWN MOTHERFUCKER OR I'LL BLOW YOUR FUCKING HEAD OFF) ..."are there weapons in the home?"... Been there...done that. Answering "NO" changed the whole game for us.... YMMV.
Hope you never find out.

Guns

If you own firearms, Michigan State Police says it's illegal to also have pot.

"If you have people that have firearms they're gonna wanna check with ATF and read what the federal government has said about that," Michigan State Police First Lieutenant Frank Keck said. "You're not allowed to have marijuana and firearms at the same time. It's federally illegal."

Regardless of what the state law is, were the feds to get involved there would be a charge.

Don't traffic across state lines, pay your taxes, basic shit. The feds shouldn't bother you.

SHOW me in the law books that I MUST turn in any and all firearms if I grow in my home.

You cant!

Thanks for playing

Same goes for ANY rec legal state , like cali. Show me in their laws that state its illegal to grow and possess. I'm NOT talking about Cpl

Nobody said you had to turn anything in and no laws say anything of the sort. You just aren't...under penalty of the law as written....supposed to mix the two activities. There are no gun collection points...you just have to be aware that there are stated and very active "Mandatory Minimum" sentencing laws that carry harsh penalties for such infractions should the Fed become involved and want to press such charges. Much like forfeitures and RICO and all of that other Federal fun...being ignorant >to it< doesn't protect you >from it<.

Likewise...please SHOW where ANY state law regarding REC (or MED) pot in ANY form has ANY verbiage within it that gives rights above and beyond...and that nullify FEDERAL gun rights.
(Copy/paste is fine...as are links). ANY verbiage whatsoever.

No skin lost here. I don't really care what others do. We just do what we do. Happy/safe growing all.....

The supremacy clause of the US constitution gives the federal government preemptive authority when state and federal laws are in conflict. You can just check your copy of the constitution if you have any doubts

Black powder revolvers and single action revolvers made before 1898 are an option. Just get ready to pay out the ass for a reliable functional one.
