growing in a kitchen cubboard? height issue?

Thinking about a steal grow in a cubboard in my kitchen everything is perfect but... Was thinking wether height is going to be an issue?

I dont want to over crowd it, will the plants try and grow regardless the space or will they "know" they cant go any higher?

What strains should I go for for smaller spaces?

lst or a auto flowering strain i know that indica tend to be short and stocky as sativa tend to be tall and i deal with height issues to and lst (low stress training)works good for my sistuation i am not 100% sure but i think the plant will grow regardless of space but you can use smaller pots or 12/12 from seed i hope this helps good luck

also keep in mind if you dont keep an eye on the plant a lot then u can bring bugs into your kitchen. Bugs love the light and soil. GL
