So I was wondering is it all strain dependant but all dispensary weed just fills my grinder with kief while my home grown puts off little kief but is still potent. Any tricks or anything

Different strains and how you grow it. I've grown some that knocks your socks off with little and other strains with lots. I maybe wrong but I'll say how you feed her when flowering has a big part in it. Not saying you need all these products the promise better result but just proper feeding in general while flowering. Two strains that stick out in my head was my g13 og kush was frosty as hell while my Barney's farm vanila kush was semi frosty and my bubblegum wasn't much at all. But I will say the vanila could wake the dead from the smell she let off. very pungent

The guys that sell to the dispensaries are highly professional and have the money to do it right with reproducible results. It just stands to reason most home growers can't compete with that.

It's in two things, the genetics and the cure. Sativa-leaning plants don't shake off the crystal as easily as Indica, USUALLY. And if it's not properly cured it sticks together and doesn't fluff off easily.

my theory on this is how dry the weed is. when I buy weed at a dispensary, it not only has (usually)been properly dried, it has been sitting on the shelf for long enough to dry further. the resin comes off much easier. when I grow my own smoke, I'm too impatient to wait for all of it to fully dry, in fact I actually rate the greasy, oily smoke that you get when the weed is just a tad "too wet". the resin doesn't come off of the wet weed as easily, and my kief collector stays empty until jan or feb when my weed is finally cured properly.
