Germinate seeds in aerogarden pods

Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to growing and have only grown from clones until now. I am having a hell of a time trying to sprout seeds. I have an aerogarden that I normally grow herbs in (like actual herbs ). Has anyone tried sprouting their seeds using an aerogarden pod? They make plant your own seed kits. I have had great luck with these pods using other plants, I'm wondering if I can kick off my grow with these until I get a little better at germinating in rockwool. Here is a link to the pod kits, I feel like it should work. I obviously would not use their nutrients or anything.

Rapid rooters are awesome. I’ve always used the paper towel method and have great success rates with it. I friend just bought some beans from crop kind and they send directions to put the them in a cup of water for like 24hrs then into a moist paper towel but I have never used this method.

I grow in a farm XL and always start by germinating my seeds in a paper towel, works everytime. After about 24hrs in the paper towel you can take the seedling and place it inside the aerogarden pods. Just make sure not to run your pump too much in the early stages (first 7 days). You need the aerogarden pod to dry out a little or your seedling will struggle with too much moisture.

Not yet. I have sprouted normal herb seeds in the aerogarden without any issues, so I assume it would work just fine. I've got a grow going now (clones, since I killed my seeds in rock wool), but I'm going to try some more seeds on the next round using the aerogarden 'start your own' seed pods.

So Not like my grobo were I can plant seed in coco & Germinate to full grow I need to germinate outside of AeroGarden Sprout then plant into AeroGarden
Is this correct ??
I've also looked at the Seed Wicks system ??.....

Well sort of, its not required to geminated seeds before you place them in the medium. I have just found it is easy to mess up the germination process when placing the seed directly into the medium. I could place the seed directly into the aerogarded pod if I wanted (i have done this before and been successful) I just find that I have more issues when I try this.

Can I also ask when On Average would you kick off my Sprout ?? I'm thinking of Mid Flower & including the grobo drying ?
