On what scientific basis should gay incest be illegal? Just because something is illegal, doesn't mean it should be. And what part of I'm dead serious aren't you clear about? I'm 100% for gay marriage. I fucking voted against prop 8, unlike your latino and black democrat brethern who voted for it. That was the last time I voted. Because it made me sick how people could have so much disrespect for civil liberties.

i was under the impression that our country was founded on that principle, among others.

I'm not really for gay marriage only because for me marriage has always been by definition the union of a man and a woman. That being said, I want my own personal liberty and I'm tired of being repressed. As long as the government has the power to oppress gay people for their personal private behavior then I won't have my freedom to put the plant I want to in my body. I hate to say it but this goes for incest too. I may not think it's a good idea, but if two people aren't hurting others then it's none of my business. As far as the person who was talking about mutant babies, that's not even true either. Incest will only bring out recessive traits shared by both family members -- for example hemophila (not homophilia ) was a recurring problem in the european royal families due to too much inbreeding. Fucking your sister doesn't give you a baby with a deformed head -- it just makes you a creepy freak who doesn't give a fuck about consequences. Once again, I'll take my freedom to smoke weed over my ability to repress someone else from doing what they want as long as it doesn't affect me.

What are you not getting? I know incest is illegal for all. But why? What scientific basis is there for it? I don't know how clear I can be. I'm so for gay marriage, I don't care if it's siblings. Again, I'm a bonafide true libertarian.

This is how thoughts on issues goes:

1)Does it harm the person in question.
2)Does it harm another person.

If no to both, then I say it should be legal. Incest between brother and brother, and sister and sister is illegal, yes. But, it harms no one. It's a choice they made if both are over 18. Incest between brother and sister can produce a mutant baby. Therefore it fails part two. Gay incest passes both parts. Whether it's icky, is your problem. Interracial marriage was once illegal too.

For the longest time marriage was an issue of religeon left up to people in the church .Then here comes the gov sticking out there hand and charging us for it . To me it's a lifestyle issue , one that is not really significant to me as I'm not gay . But it is not for me or anyone else to decide for a third party what they should do , just like cannabis . Why should the gov get to choose these details of lifestyle for us when they really should be there protecting our rights not denying them to us .

If it was 100% not possible a child would be born, then even mother and son, father and daughter, and brother and sister. This is assuming adults making their choice.

There is this weird attraction you get when DNA is closely shared. There have been several cases where siblings and offspring have been separated. The two find each other, not knowing and fall in love. That mutual bond is strong. Most of the time when they're together their whole life, that sort of bond doesn't happen. The same with those who aren't related but live in a close family like situation. This is why the ancient Egyptians did these sort of unions. You only live once, why should you let others dictate your life?

I have no blood family. My parents are dead. My grand parents are dead. I'm an only child. My dad was adopted, so I don't know that side. So stfu.

I say marry whoever you want, who is stopping you? nobody! If I was gay I might be married even if it was "illegal" lol....Nobody regardless of sexual preference deserves entitlements and special privileges for being married and its not on the books then its no longer a problem.
