got my seaweed in a 4 gallon bucket the process has begun..

Seaweed is rich in trace elements and potassium, which makes it ideal to add to compost in its raw state, to work in as a mulch, or to create a liquid fertiliser. This is really easy to do and your plants will be thankful for it; seaweed fertiliser releases about 60 nutrients plants can benefit from.[1]

Gather the seaweed. Make sure it is lawful to do so and do not pillage your local beach! Look for seaweed that isn't too stinky and is still wet. - 2
Rinse the seaweed to remove some of the excess salt. - 3
Fill a bucket or barrel to three quarters way with water. Add as much seaweed as will fit and leave to soak. - 4
Stir the seaweed mix every two to four days. - 5
Allow to soak for several weeks to several months. The fertiliser grows stronger over time. Make sure to keep the brew somewhere that its odours won't affect your daily household. It is ready for use when it no longer carries a smell of ammonium.[2] - 6
Use as needed. When it is ready, use as a fertiliser on your plants and garden beds (soil). It should be diluted with water at a minimum of three parts to one.
Tips
- Seaweed types:[4]
- Sea lettuce - Ulva lactuca (sea lettuce); Enteromorpha intestinalis (gutweed); Caulerpa brownii (sea rimu).
- Red seaweeds - Porphyra seaweeds; known by Europeans as "laver", by Japanese as "nori", by Maori as "karengo"; easily peeled off rocks.
- Powdered kelp can be used as a slow-release, leach-resistant fertiliser.[5] Add the powder to the soil direct or add it to your compost. Worm farms also benefit from a sprinkling, and the vermicompost will be much improved for it.[6]
- As well as nutrients, seaweed fertiliser provides plants with hormones, vitamins and enzymes that boost flowering, growth, branching and root extension.[7]

i cut it up in the water and put a little molasses in there with it, brew is getting thicker almost the same consistency as the molasses sure, seems to be working cant wait to try it out!!!

i think i might try it out next week i put some on my out door flowers 2 days ago seems to have worked fine so far for them, i wonder how long this stuff stays good for!! gonna check it out!

BTW - for the majority of folks who don't live close enough to the ocean you have a viable option - algae.
Find a lake, pond, river, stream, etc. that you have confidence in with regard to the water purity (pretty important, IMHO) - simply gather up as much algae that you can and let it dry out.
You'll only need about 1/2-3/4 of the amount of kelp meal that you might be considering using. There are number of reasons and most of them are fairly esoteric but basically fresh water sources contain high levels of PNSB (Purple Non-Sulphur Bacteria) which is said to increase a plant's ability to absorb and more importantly use light - HID, sunshine, etc.
If using algae make sure that you apply these teas to the leaves and branches of your plants as the PNSB culture will give a strong impulse to the plant to maximize your light's potential.
That's my experience but YMMV

Rinse off salts by dunking once or twice in a bucket of water. Wet to dry weight ration is about 1 to 10. So dry seaweed is actually extremely concentrated organic fertilizer. Use it in ratios of 5 or 10% in your soil and organic teas.
Homemade seaweed meal is pretty much one of the best organic fertilizers on the planet.

wow it works like crazy i put it on my outdoor flowers 2 days ago and they are double in size almost what a difference gonna try a small amount on her next watering to see what happens for a tester on the mj indoor.. ill let you all know the out come ill post a before and after when i apply it!!!

Finally, got some info. I'll end up looking like the Creature From the Black Lagoon, while harvesting. Hell, better yet, I'll just go bass fishing. I usually haul in a thousand Lbs. of the shit while fishing. Thanks. Is there a site to read more.? I couldn't Rep-Ya, cause I have already, I have to spread reps around more.

Studies has shown that both molasses & seaweed is awesome.... but when added together, they become greater than their sum.

maybe hopefully they do because it is the best thing i have ever used next to the molasses havent seen the full out come of it yet but so far its making my plants thrive and dont smell either so works great.. it actually smells like beans in molasses haha!!

well it is officially working i can tell my buds are starting to swell and even my out door flowers are growing like crazy you can tell by all the native grass around them are abnormally jumbo size lol

The buds are swelling and resining up drastically cant wait to try it out will post pics of end results and yeild off my 1 plant, i used the seaweed tea the last 3 waterings, gonna water the next time here and just use plain water with a tsp of molasses!! holding off on the nutes now until harvest!!

Should have posted this before, but here it is anyways my seaweed tea brewing!!!
Its like a 4 gallon bucket, i filled it up 3/4 the way with fresh seaweed rinsed and chopped it all up into smaller bits!!
i filled the bucket with fresh spring water and put about 50 ml of molasses in it!
i stirring everyday or two and here it is so far--->
