Flowering early?

So I got my seeds started real early this year; like around March. So early in fact, that they began to flower as soon as they hit about 6 inches tall. Bummer! I was keeping them in a sunny bay window, but they clearly we're not receiving enough light. I managed to save one plant by topping off the entire flowering bud, and got it transplanted outside. Still real early mind you for New England. Today, that plant is a monster; almost 6 feet all, very, very wide and bushy, loving life in the kitchen garden. I'm thrilled.. The funny thing is, it has clearly started to flower - first began to notice hairs around Aug 12 - and we are still getting about 13 - 14 hours of daylight per day. The Equinox is still weeks away. Anyone have a theory why it's flowering before the change in light? Maybe because I got started so early...? idk. I'm not unhappy, I figure more time to build huge buds.

Thanks,

Ziffy

You're so silly. If you had waited, you'd have monster cropped it and increased your yields. It would have reveg'd.
