Hello everyone, looking to gain some input on my Blue Kiss ladies that are flowering rn. Currently halfway through week 7 and I can’t tell with the magnifier I have if the trichomes are ready for harvest. I turned my grow light off to take these pics and to me they look almost done. Like some trichomes are fat and milky while others are lackluster. Also these are some of my least developed colas but the other ones aren’t much better. Thoughts?

No way. You got like 4-5 weeks left.
Dang okay, I was hoping they’d be done sooner. This strain is typically supposed to flower for 8 weeks but the biggest cola is only about the size of a standard bic lighter so that would make sense. They’ve also stopped getting bigger just more pistils here and there

Hopefully you're mistaken about "getting bigger". Major bulking up occurs in the last few weeks of natural ripening. Wait at least another 7-10 days. They look good. Your patience will pay off in weight and quality.

Are you counting days from flip or when flowers started to set?

8 weeks is marketing bullshit. 10 weeks... 72 days on average

I’m counting the time from when I switched to 12/12 which was the last week of October. I’ve slowly been flushing out nutes cuz I figured it would be time to harvest soon but it’s difficult cuz I use fabric pots. I’m getting a spacer for them to help with drainage tomorrow. Should I keep feeding them nutes another week or should I continue flushing and ride it out 2-3 more weeks?

Thanks for all the input btw!

If this really your first go, hats off my friend for real! You're 18-25 days away in my opinion. That last 10 days is when the calyxes swell and put on the real weight. You don't want to have put in all this time and work to cheat yourself from what looks like AAA. It's like a choose your own adventure.. let it finish and get AAA. Or.. chop early and have AAA mids. The choice is yours lol

Edit: sure as hell keep feeding man. Don't starve her right when she putting on weight

Good to know and thank you. I’ve seen friends setups before and I’ve researched quite a lot on these forums and other websites. Just got lucky I guess but was almost about to make an unlucky decision by chopping them soon lol. I’ll keep feeding them!

Nice plant man! Some of my leaves on other colas have started turning purplish likes yours. Hope they get that purple tho!!
Even if she doesn’t. Thats not important. It looks extremely well and healthy. Very frosty.
seems like you have solid genetics. Just be patient and you’ll be very happy when your taking your first rip.

So it’s been almost 4 weeks since I posted here last. I started adding nutrients back in for a week or two then I started flushing about two weeks ago. I was hoping they would be done around this time. Now my ladies are showing these wilting yellow/brown leaves. Is this just the plant finishing its cycle, or did I mess something up? The trichs don’t appear cloudy with the microscope I use either. All clear except a few amber here and there

PS. I checked for bud rot but all the buds are intact near the stems, it appears to start at the edges of the leaves and works it’s way inwards.

I think your untimely flushing may have caused that. Hard to see in the purple lighting.

Did you pH the water when you were flushing?

Yea I tried to keep it between 6 and 6.8, most of the time I would put it in at a ph of 6.5. Should I do anything to them or just ride it out?

You should not have flushed - all you do is strip what it wants from medium . Now it shows ….

Stop trying to rush the damn thing.
Stop flushing .

Plant will “ finish “ when it finishes … however long.
Blurple can drag a grow out also. Feed it and just let it do what it is supposed to do.

Best advice right here. It genuinely seems like you're trying to make the plant finish early or "on time", and you just can't do that. Technically, you can pull your "65 day" strain at day 65 and it'll probably be ripe enough, but it likely won't be at its optimal ripeness.

Patience, grasshopper ;):)
