First time CFL grow ^_^ (C/C welcome)

So I read through the tutorial last night and since I've been disgruntled with my florescents (mostly my own fault) I decided to give it a go.

I picked up 3x 4 packs of 6500K bulbs and 2x 6 packs of 2700K bulbs- veg and flower respectively. All of them 26 watts- yes I know, kinda lowish wattage, but I just want to do a basic simple grow. I'm unconcerned with the size or yield of the plant, I'll worry about that after I get the hang of growing this way. Trying to keep things as dummy proof and easy as possible

Grabbed some of those snazzy two way splitters and after searching through like four stores (I mean really, Lowes had the product listed but didn't carry it anymore) I got the cord attachment part as well. Next I raided Wally world and grabbed some extension cords to run to each of the lights.

Back at home I cannibalized one of my broken florescent cases to mount all the CFL bulbs in.

What I've got now- 10, 26 watt CFL bulbs at 6500k being split by five "y" splitters then running to five individual extension cords which then go to my surge protector.

So am I doing anything wrong yet? Have I just completely screwed everything up and you're facepalming and /raging at your computer screen? Or do things look aight for now? Can I leave lighting that intense on brand new sprouting seeds?

Looks good to me, if any face-palming is to happen it might be.... hoping your fluorescent case is still not that dirty, if it can be cleaned. I have not used them Bright Effects bulbs yet, seems like lowes always has them in stock. Might have to give them a try. I just enjoy giving it to wally world to much, their exchange policies is to good to pass up. hehe that is what they get though for firing a medical marijuana patient with cancer.

exchange policy reference:
Hello,

I been using cfl's i bought them at wally world, i save all my packages. this way when they die, i can exchange them for new ones, free of charge.
money saving tactic.

Hehe, I just did that same exchange thing with some old florescent tubes :hump: I'll keep things updated and we'll see where I end up I suppose (burned plants, and a room that looks like a bomb went off in it probably). :D
