IMG_5765.JPG Hi There,

This is my first grow. I am a Noob. Please have a look, and give me your comments. Plants are 4 weeks old. One or two plants don't look happy. (OG3) The plant problems thread does not show me the image files. What does the leaves say? Thank You!

They look alright. But to diagnose issues better. It's best to turn off your light and use the flash. Or a more natural light source.

Hi. I am in soil. I removed the surface clay balls now, so that the soil can dry out better. My water retention was a bit too high... I now flushed them with water, and will decrease my bio-grow to 2ml/L on the next watering (Sunday). My soil mix is 30%Canadian Peat Moss, 30%earthwormcastings and 30% perlite. I think my soil had too much nutrients in, therefore the flush now with water. Let me know if my thinking is correct... thank you!

looks like your having heat problems. have you got a hydrometer with a probe on it? if not put your hyrdometer that you have on the floor up at canopy height. your at 25'C on the floor!!

I used to use the back of my hand to determine heat, but as you get older and used to putting your hand under the light, it becomes a lot less accurate!!!

Thank you... My plant canopy temp is 28 degrees celcius and 40% humidity. I lifted my light to the max. Its a new 600w HPS, after having used CFLs during veg. Want to go to flowering soon. I appreciate the advice.

No probs, its what where all on here for. new equipment leads to trial an error, i use 600w 6'' cool tubes to keep my heat down. as soon as youve got your set up dialled in, switch them babies over, there not as forgiving in flower.

Hey? 28°c and 40%rh is giving your plants burns? Wow. Must be a HPS thing. Mine get the same temps and rh under an LED-COB and don't see any of that issue.

28 hps temps are ok if your using co2 but Ive never tried it. anything over 26.5 starts ringing bells for me. between 28-30 my plants turn in on themselves and have more serious blistering. Ive never used led before so i cant comment there either, maybe different light strengths or distance from bulb to plant???

I think it's more the intensity of the light than anything. I can hold my hand half a foot away from my light before the heat gets more intense.

I think it's a bit further than that with 400+ watts on a HPS.

28 after correction. Light lifted, bottom airvent opened for fan to suck in cold air... must have been over 30 before I posted for advice....
