first grow lighting question

I have had these girls vegging for a few weeks now, they are about 1.6ft tall.. growing like weeds!

I put them on flowering yesterday.. the first day they turned off early. My timer didn't work and i ended up turning them on 1 hr late this morning..

How sensitive are the plants to a 1 hour light discrepancy?



Another thing i was wondering.. I see people with those blacklight things for working on the plants while it is dark. Is it bad to use a tiny flashlight to check the plants out and do work in the room while its dark? I try to avoid them getting light as much as possible during night hours.

theyll be fine and once in flower i would just leave em alone during sleepytime

Thanks for the info! I generally do leave them alone but daylight savings + digital timer made me make a 1 hour mistake one extra hour of darkness today, but they will go off at the same time today as yesterday and then it'll go on 1 hour earlier tomorrow.

Hopefully I can get good results from a 150 watt hps with 3 plants they seem to be doing real well

i think 150 should be fine...i did 3 plants under 6 cfls and 3 grow floro tubes and got some beautiful budz

The hour will not hurt if you don't do it all the time,and using a flashlight BAD IDEA!I would use some kind of Green Light when working with the plants during their sleep cycle.You can pick them up at home depo.=)

My Photo is the stuff off our 2nd time around.We made a lot mistakes our first time,But for sure use a green light,you can even get one for a flash light Im sure...

I usually don't have to work in the room while it is dark hours.. but I just want something to if i need to i can go in there without waking them up!

Hopefully all goes well.. i have been reading day and night about it.. using the FFOF soil + nutrient trio + moab .. grow big seems to make my plants really sad but they seem to love big bloom so i've been giving them that.. no tigerbloom for them yet though :]

i'm scared to death of mother of all blooms.. everyone says it works but if you mess up you basically burn your plants to oblivion lol

I would start off as simple as possible and learn as you go....But keep doing what your doing READ READ AND READ MORE!
