Im thinking about ordering some beans off the net and im curious, are the feminized seeds 100% chance to be female or just a better chance than normal seeds from bought bags?

well bag seed seeds are only gonna be 50/50 male females....from what i read your chances are way greater being female with femnd seeds...although i have heard of an occasional hermie from femnd seeds...

^partial truth. I had a flo go herm and pollinate 1 or 2 nugs on itself. All seed were female. This is feminized seeds which came from a bag (jar).

correct. feminized seeds have the xx chromosome so they will always be female, but yes they have a higher chance of turning hermaphrodite. here is why:

the male has the XY chromosome. The female is XX. You cross a male and female(xx and xy), you have a debatable 50/50% chance of male/female. hermaphrodites have the XX chromosome like females. So if they cross the offspring will be XX no matter what because the Y is non existent. males can never turn hermaphrodite. but any female can turn hermaphrodite from stress. an example is if you mess with the 12/12 light cycle, the plant will stress and may think its dying. so naturally the plants wants to reproduce like many other organisms. since there may be no pollen around, it produces its own pollen sacks.

I purchase all my seeds from marijuana-seeds.nl and have had a 100% female rate with zero hermies.
