Hello. i read somewhere, and i have forgotten where now but.. If you mix a pill (contraceptive) with water and feed it to your plant there are posivitive results, i dont think its proven but some guy who tried it wrote about it. do you think it could work?
a mate told me crushing a pill and disolveing it in your water and feeding it from germination through to veg will result in more females and less herm's/males i dont know how true that is but a mate told me a long time ago
would like to know more on this topic aswell tho
Human hormones. I doubt it. In theory If you worked out the perfect amount of gibberellin acid(a plant hormone) to spray onto plants then you could induce female flowers, i think. If you spray to much they go hermie, but produce mainly all female seeds. Breeders use it for feminized seeds.
i dont think the genetics are right to cross from animal kingdom to plant kingdom. so many differences. i would doubt it, but if theres proof. and by pill you mean birth control pill...? someone said contraceptive so im assuming that. wouldnt that stop reproduction period, not increase female probabilities...? throwin it out there
oh.. i just ment i heard it grew faster. Not turned it female. but i dont know, i am currently on the pill so i could try it. then let you know what happens.
well wait, was "the pill" macab made this thread about birth control, or a female hormone...or are the same thing? I dunno much about it, ya know, having balls and everything.
The pill being birth control pill that girls take not to get pregnant, it contains the female hormone estrogen.. which i heard makes the plant grow big. i found the link here is what they wrote.
"A solution of one pill to one gallon of water has been reported to cause increased growth speed in tomato plants. It is possible this will help herb plants too. One treatment administered before flowering and one administered a few weeks before harvesting might help the plant mature faster."
One grower told a story of the same type of plants, one administered the estrogen grew to 20 feet, while the other was 7 feet. This may be purely anecdotal, but it may work. Try it and report back to us on results. geovisit();http://visit.geocities.com/visit.gif...2&j=true&v=1.2
