The Justice Department announced Thursday that it will resume executing death row prisoners for the first time in nearly two decades.

At the direction of Attorney General William Barr, the federal Bureau of Prisons has scheduled the executions of five inmates being held on death row at USP Terre Haute, a high-security penitentiary in Indiana.

Law and Order, right?

An eye for an eye, right?

I call bull shit, it's vengeance with no morality, pure and simple.

I believe in incarceration for life without any possibility for parole, but no one has the right to take a life, like no one at all.

This simply is Trump again throwing chum into the water to feed his base, blood thirsty fucks that they all are.

What do you think about this ?

I think he is setting up whoever is the next president is to 'save the life' of a little nazi and a not the Boston bomber (not such a) kid.

Nobody is going to feel bad for the other two he is sacrificing to his base.

Edit: I didn't see he already had 60 inmates on the list, Trump loves to fuck with people doesn't he.

I have a few friends that should face the death penalty one is doing life, the other was gunned down like a dog by a church load of police.Smiley is in jail & chuy he's gone.It saves the tax payers money & their friends don't have to put money on the books for them.

I've noticed that you don't often leave a space between a period and the next word. There sure have been a lot of accounts with that very same habit.

Strange.

Jesus wasn't innocent.

He created a public nuisance, which like pretty much every other crime in Roman law was punishable by death.

So, we are under "Roman law"?

Edit: Have we not evolved since the beginning? As Herod said, "kill them all", of the innocents?
There are a few things I remember from reading the "bible".

Too many innocent people have been executed. Let the lovers remember Jesus of Nazareth. Besides, life in prison is satisfaction enough. Just think of it.
Executing just lets them free. Like they’re going to be dead and going “Oh wow I fucked up and I’m dead now. I wish I hadn’t yadda yadda.”

Few of you can be old enough to actually remember work crews and chain gangs. Making little ones out of big ones (breaking boulders into gravel with a sledge hammer). People got long sentences “at hard labor” and they got it.

You make someone work for free with no end in sight I’ll promise you the sonofabitch will be sorry and wishing he hadn’t. For years.

The highways and parks and public places could be spectacularly clean and awesome. Dirt moving dirt.

So how do you justify life in prison for an innocent person, but not the death penalty?

It saves the tax payers money
"The debate over whether or not to abolish the death penalty often centers around morality or its effectiveness in preventing crime. But the cost is another relevant factor. Because of its severity, death row and execution costs are an economic burden on government budgets. It's more cost effective to commute death penalties to life imprisonment sentences without parole"

That it saves money (so fucking what) to execute rapidly is bull shit.

How many persons were exonerated by DNA before the ultimate penalty was imposed?

How many died without DNA evidence?

The US should join the majority of the civilized world community, and abolish it.

It's just wrong
