Is dutch passion the best place to get durban poison ?
the best place to get durban WOULD have been from afropips, but he's no longer with us. +REP in peace pips. whether or not afropips brought all the african strains to the market or not, he always had a solid breeder rep back around '05. there's still people growing his gear i bet and wouldn't be surprised if holy smokes' african strains are AP f2s.

i'd suggest against getting sativa seeds' 25% NL5 durban. i bought a pack of that just for kicks as i'm not a fan of DP's taste and had some less than stellar viability despite using a heating mat now. that, and it'd be watered down. i THOUGHT dutch passion was supposed to be a decent breeder, if not a truly great dutch one like mr nice & sensi seeds, but was just reading a recent thread with several people weighing in on DP hermies. i was just starting to think of trying their cali-o too.

holy smokes would be my suggestion. my male "mozambique poison" freebie LEAF definitely had some authentic flavor and their malawi was not a watered down hybrid like i bet the "super thai" in HQS' thai skunk was compared to the haze in their haze skunk. as far as fan leaf smoke goes, it wasn't shabby. smaller leaflet trim is better if you want to smoke leaf, but the plan was to test some bud. if ace seeds has durban, without looking, that should be worth a try or possibly world of seeds as those two breeders are preserving some nice 15 week plus IBLs and i've seen favorable reporting for both with one breeder rating golden tiger as a top 2 and another swearing by his ace panama.

I'm 7-10 days from harvest on a huge Sensi Seeds Durban Poison. It was last years Durban mom, grown from seed, that got too big and unruly so I bent her over LST style and flowered her. I really love this strain. I personally brought the seeds back from Amsterdam, they were the only seeds I smuggled back on my last trip. I have restarted a new mom from a clone of the old lady. I recently bought some Ken's gdp seeds and so far all I've gotten from them is a beautiful male that is hopefully destined to be the father of several crosses the first of which is going to be with this Durban.

Edit: one thing I will say is DO NOT interrupt the dark period with Durban, she will go hermie.

Sensi's Durban is my favorite, no question. I've seen other Durban's, but rarely can the match the frost on Sensi's. Beautiful plants.
