I have seen lots of debate and varied opinions over Dr Green Thumbs, the following will be my honest review and first experience with his gear.

Ordering and stealth packaging was fine.

Germinated 11 seeds Feb 25 with 100% success rate.

Feb 27 placed all of them in soil and 24 hours later they all popped up.


Transplanted 10 to pots yesterday and put the runt of the litter down (it was growing but not keeping up with the rest)

400W Metal Halide for 2 to 3 weeks and then 1000W HPS

23 Days from seed, I am happy so far!

These are the Girls at 6 weeks from germination


I cut 21 clones tonight


Tomorrow I will switch from 18/6, 400W MH Halide to 12/12, 1000W HPS

100% Success rate with cloning, I usually get 80 - 90%


10 days in soil


These girls will be going outside in a couple of weeks to grow in the summer sun along the side of a swamp

These are my big girls at the start of week 5 flowering



No Trichlome production yet, but dense buds with the longest pistols that I have ever seen

A mild earthy smell similar to Hash

These are the Girls at week 6 Flowering



These Girls are bulking up nice and Trichlome production is really taking off, the pistols are the longest of any plant that I have ever worked with!

They have been growing in Pro-mix soil and I have stopped feeding them Canna Flores 1 - 3 - 5 and Molasses, strictly water for the next two weeks.

Dr Green Thumbs web page states 45 - 55 days for indoor flowering but it looks to me like it will be a little longer

My clones are doing well

So I cut 10 more clones from my first round of clones so that I can run ten more plants indoors

For Veg I have been using Dutch Grow

Those are looking sweeeeet. I saw a guy over at michigan medical marijuana association website that got 19 ounces off of his but he had just the one plant under a 600. He said it was was uber potent too, so I look forward to your smoke report

These are the girls at the start of week 7

The largest bud is growing cat tails



Lots of clear Trichlomes

It looks like trimming should be easy as far as leaf to bud ratio!

Another week to go

What do you Guys and Gals think?

There are golf ball size nuggets on lower branches that had to be staked up today

Looks good!! I've grown this both inside in hydro and outside in a swamp bucket. Performed excellent in both locations. But I'm all about a nice flavoured smoke and this was just bland, no distinct flavour. This strain is all about yield and potency. That being said, if I was growing outside anymore or cash croppin' I'd pick this strain. Finished outside mid -Aug and I'm Central Ontario.

I took the Girls down at day 48, the Dr states that it is ready between 45 and 55 days

Here are some cola pictures

Each plant will be about 2.5 to 3 ounces dried, lots of crystal

These are the largest/firmest cola's that I have ever grown!

I will post a smoke report when it is ready to go

Well the G13 is dry and cured

Some potent smoke but not flavorful

Great yield, estimate 2 to 2.5 ounces per plant (I grow for personal so I do not need a scale)

Over all I give it 9 out of 10

Thanks for the update. I'm growing some right now. Kind of disappointed about the lack of taste. I love some tasty buds. Maybe a kush strain next time. Congrats on the grow.

The Doc's Bubba is the tastiest of his strains that I've tried. People take a puff, look at you and go 'is that hash?' Monster buds too. I wanna try his OG or Chemdawg next

I use three gallon pots so that I do not have to water as much, usually just once a week
