does more preflower stretch = more buds?

im thinking of using a product that reduces stretching, but i wanted to ask and see if it will affect my yield at all. anyone know how preflowering works?

and while we are on the topic, theres another one: if you transplant a plant the day before it goes into flowering, is the stretch going to be less because of the transplant shock?1
