Does Growing Eliminate Buying?

its taken me three runs to start figuring things out and getting decent quality and quantity. i'm getting close to an ounce of dried buds off each plant, and i've got it on a rotation where i'm harvesting a plant about every 2 weeks, but it took me 3 complete grows to get all the fuck ups out of the way....(like they're all out of the way...).
up till now i've been constrained by the cabinet i was growing in, now i can grow twice as tall so i'm hoping to get close to that 2 oz mark myself next time around.

if you cant grow enough to keep up with 2 oz. a month your doing something seriously wrong dude. not bashin, just being honest. i smoke about an oz. every 3 weeks and 90-95% of my harvest goes out the door. i use 1 600w bulb.

If you smoke 5 joints of what I got growing you wont be able to leave the house lol

Yes and no.

Small time amateur smoker? You probably won't buy while growing.

Hardcore stoner that wants what he wants? You can only grow so much but you still come across awsome "gotta have it" strains from other growers that make you trade/purchase more bud.

I smoke 1 to 2 jars a month. I get between 10 and 15 mason jars per 600w hood with 4 weeks veg and 10 to 12 weeks flower (yield depends on strain and how attentive I am to them). So worst case scenario I get 10 jars every 4 months. Ideally two average runs can supply me all year

Ever enjoyed a ripe tomato fresh off the vine?
Ever boiled up a batch of home grown potatoes and seasoned them with only butter and salt?
Infused an entire bottle of rum with mint from your garden to make insanely delicious mojitos?
It's not as simple as which is cheaper, to buy or grow. Growing your own artisanal flowers delivers a better high.
I prefer vapor to smoke, and one cool thing you can do when vaping is trim buds from the bottom up as she continues to grow, and vape it fresh, fresh, fresh! My weed never makes it to the curing jars anymore because I love fresh vapor!! And I have plucked two ounces from even a skinny sativa that grew for almost a year. Don't focus on yield, and supplement as needed until your grow skills deliver all you want.

lmao . yes it does but how much will you invest in it ? 500 ? 10000 ? and all the time . what you shuld be asking should i just continue to buy and not grow. you could have a bad harvest and wait another 4 months and not to mention what about all that wasted electric .

Well, yeah. That was kind of the purpose of the thread. And I wouldn't consider it a waste of electricity if it's going toward growing

waste of electricity if you have plant issues . you paid months on the bill and you might have to scrap them or your electricity bill costs more then what you usually use in a month any ways .

i use a 250 watt mh to veg and a 400 watt hps to flower. with the 190 cfm inline fan and the 2 240 cfm booster fans, it raises my electric bill about 30.00 a month.
the nutes i use cost about 150 for a 6 month supply, little bullshit you run into monthly, add another 20 a month, and that comes to about 75 bucks a month once you have your tents/cabs, and lights/fans bought. i can spend 50 bucks a week and wish i had more to spend...so at least 200 a month to buy weed, or 75 bucks a month to grow my own. and my own is rapidly approaching the quality they charge 20+ a gram for
