why don't you get on ginwilly's case or spandy's case or kynes' case when they say these things? why wait until i paraphrase their beliefs, falsely attempt to attribute them to me, and then speak out against them?

i'm totally fine with trashing this horrible thread of canna's by discussing your belief that racist business owners should be able to ban black people fro their hotels and restaurants and gas stations because it would make the racists more bitter. we can talk about your belief that black people do not deserve legal recourse in case their constitutional rights to equal protection of the law are violated.

and the great thing is that i do not have to pull any of your quotes out of context, you actually expressed those beliefs.

I don't believe the correlation is between god and religion, rather God and faith.
One of the parallels is of the unborn child's faith in his mother and our faith in God as living beings.

God is all around us, as the mother of the unborn child.

I actually found this while on one of my Asperger induced obsessions that I research, that had nothing to do with abortion. You can maybe ask your wife if OCD is part of the Aspie persona, or if they become OCD. I get a thrill out of order from what normally looks like chaos. But I still think it's wrong DSM took away the Aspie definition, because it's like saying, "I'm religious with a 4 on the faith, 2 with the holy spirit in me, and a 10 with miracles." Why not just say, "I'm a Hindu." Everyone knows what an Aspie does thanks to Sheldon, so who the fuck cares? Except greedy insurance companies who forced the issue because they accept autism, but are too stupid to accept Asperger.

This is why I'm a Technocrat Libertarian. Only doctors should decide what to call medical issues, not some politician and insurance corporations who influence doctors.

I don't know if I'm really purely atheist, but I don't believe there's a god of any kind. But I have a strong feeling from my three years of daily meditation that there's some interconnectivity which I call the Devine that we can talk to, which I have no idea what it really is.

I also know I'm really fucking high.

Thats exactly the point....you would trash cannas thread instead of actually going back to that thread and discussing it there.....please try to be more of an adult with me and I will try the same with you.

she says OCD used to be under anxiety disorders but is now categorized separately and there is now a continuum of OCD types. OCD is not part of the autism/aspie spectrum though, sorry.

you seem pretty high.

So, then what is the special topic interest that most who have in the past been characterized as having been called Aspie about? Obsession about one topic and researching it to no end, is what 100% of those who got diagnosed an Aspie. That's not OCD? One of the criteria for Aspergers, which I've had since a child was interests in strange things to the point it would drive my parents crazy, and now I do the same to my wife. Most of the time the special topic interest lasts weeks, months or years. My topic of interest that has never gone away, for over 30 years has been myths and legends, which has morphed now into comparative religion.

Not really, I talk to myself in my head all the time. Most of the time there's this strong voice but I can listen to multiple voices at the same time, up to 6 conversations at once. But when I get really high or in a meditative hypnagogic state, it seems like billions of voices with shapes that form from thousands of tiny colored lights that move, until I transport myself into a lucid dream state.

my wife put it like this: just because you're obsessed with something doesn't mean you have OCD.

an aspie obsession example would be the four year old she babysat. he was obsessed with sea animals, to the point where he knew every single word in a book about sea animals even though he didn't know how to read. it might hamper social interactions, etc.

but contrast it with the following...

OCD obsession is thinking you ran over the neighbor's dog on your drive home, so you keep getting back in your car and driving back to make sure there is no dead dog on the road, and then knocking on your neighbor's door to see if they have their dog safe and sound...over and over and over again. it is anxiety based, and generally has to do with checking, counting, or washing. think people who wash their hands raw or have to turn the lights off (and then on and off again) seven times exactly before they can go to bed. and then they get up and turn off the lights seven times again just to make sure.

that's the best i can explain based off of what she tells me.

Since paraphrased != false, that is not a compelling argument on its own. If you say that someone should have the right to refuse service to a black guy because you're a white guy who doesn't like black people, then this is not libel.
