Do new calyxes sometimes grow in bright green, or did they turn on me?? :\ pics...

Well... I thought I had some nute lock out going on so I gave each of my plants a good flush to knock out the salts... and I saw massive increases in growth since... but now I am looking at the newest growth and it is lime green... the same color I've seen male flowers in the past. The thing is, they're still so small I can barely see what I'm looking at. I couldn't find my 30x loupe, but I took these macro shots and cropped them up so I could get some opinions.

Tell me these are just some really young and unripe calyxes showing green... I can't see any specific male flowers, but they're so small I can't be sure. I do see hairs growing out of at least some of the bright green, which gives me some hope... really would rather not have to chop early again, but I have 5 females in the closet adjacent to this room and I don't want them getting fertilized from this batch indirectly...

Want to believe they're just new growth, maybe new leaves being the culprit that is throwing me off... because i've been seeing such good bulking going on since I flushed (about 4-5 days ago) but I'm scurred. :\


Edit: Just had a few friends over in our T5 thread tell me this is looking normal... so I'm worrying a lot less now.

I do not see ANY signs of hermie activity going on here... They look like new growth, and with N levels being low as they should be at this point, thatz probably why they r so light green... I'd say u got nothin' to worry about, except all the trimmin' you have to look forward to! Lookin' righteous dude! Mine sometimes do the same exact thing... Pay no mind to it tho... Itz very much all good...

Yeah I have been fighting N deficiency all through flowering too, so that makes a lot of sense.

Thanks man... Yer a good friend... I'm bout ta pack a nice bowl of dank in yer name! lol! I have been using these Jobe's Organics Fert Spikes that r 100% organic, and 2-7-4, as a lil bit of an N upkeep during flowering, and my new calyxs don't seem to be popping up as light as before... But, in MS, we haveta work with what we can... U can totally take a look at my current grow on my profile, and see what I'm workin' with down in the Southland, if ya have a moment to look... I think I may have made it a private view for friends, but I'll accept if u haveta friend me to see... Peace man...

This is only my second and third grows I got goin' right now, but I have been reading like it's my job so I have learned a shitload along the way... glad to help any way I can! BTW I added you as a friend but I don't know where your grow is... how do I find it?

It should be down on the lefthand side under albums if yer on my profile... It should be visable, as I have accepted u as a friend now...

Yeah, it turns into an all-encompasing hobby and may as well be a second job... I only hope that we can get a med bill passed in my area soon, so that I can make it my full-time job, for real... It is where my true passion lies... I can't say the same for industrial electrical work anymore... I'd rather hang out with sweet-smellin' ladies, than a buncha sweaty assholes all day, anyways!!! And talk about the ease of physical labor it would be for me! Not to mention the vast amounts of wealth one could accumulate in just a few years, after taxes r all paid, of course...

Couldn't have said it better myself! Im working overtime so I can afford it, so I can come home and work even harder in my garden, where my heart really is lol. But only for personal, it'd be a whole new world if I could grow for sale legally.


AN Those look really frosty man, nice. I only see lots of tiny leaf tips starting, light/lime greenish cuz they're fresh. Looks tasty! I wouldnt worry at all.

The sativa I had last grow that switched early and I freaked and put it in my garage, alone under its own light... nanners all over it and I let it go another 3-4weeks to try to get some weight from it... not a single seed! I was baffled lol

No seeds? Mustve been a true male, u think? And, yeah, in week 5 now, so they r starting to get some nice trich action going on... I'll try to get some better, closer shots as harvest day approaches to show the beautiful changes that r occurring daily... I so wish to be legal, and if TN's bill passes, will be moving back to Memphis to do it legit, and go big, as a coop... And Arkansas has a bill still up too... So, I dunno... MMJ may be coming to Southern State sooner than we think... We shall see...
