I also started 4 1979 Highland oaxica gold, as well as 9 Bulgarian landrace indica. These will be for a preservation run.

Got a lot of my projects handled, as the weather has finally been getting better.
The black berry moonshine open pollination is doing well. Looks like One standard color female snuck herself in, but that's ok, genetic diversity is OK by me.
One half the big 20x40 pvc greenhouse taken down, and will hopefully get other side done today. Idk if I will end up getting the new greenhouse up at this property or if it will end up waiting till the new property next season. Prob make more sense to wait, but i love having a section atleast out from the endless oregon rain. I got New fence up to better surround the new hoopie and the expanded garden size. And I got my new goat house built, there last one was working ok, but all the rain definitely took its toll on the reclaimed wood I used to build the original.
Full season starts are going. Not much to report as they just seedlings.
8k cycle indoors got a canopy rearrange after I culled out a few males and a couple females that wasn't impressing me. Got a grip of clones vegging to refill my beds with so gonna have 2 different cycles prob a month apart in age.
The island afghani and IA crosses from @Smidge34 and @getawaymountain are doing well. Much happier in the new 3 gallons and getting the full knf feedings. Prob another month or so of veg till I flip them outdoors in my hoopie.

Here's the current state of the grow area. Working on getting the old gh down, posts out, and cleaned up. I had double hernia repair on my left side around thanksgiving so I have to be slow and deliberate when pulling stuff out the ground. That motion doesn't feel to great even 3 months post op.
I will be doing 48 plants this year outdoors, my legal max at this parcel. 40 will be grown sensimellia on 12 foot centers, with 21 being on the hugelkulture mounds, and the rest in ground. 8 plants will be done in my hoopie greenhouse as late stsrts that I will fully pollinate. Hopefully my timing and training technique will maximize the greenhouse space.

Here's some korean natural farming indigenous micro organsim 1 collections nearly done. I'll use some to innoculate my pots, and I'll convert this to imo2 with raw sugar, which can be stored and then used to make imo 3 and 4.

Loaded the worm moon started seeds into 1 gallons. They soaked 36 hours in paper towels wet down with dilute fermented aloe, then barely covered with soil, the wood bark mulch on top.
Should be plenty now to choose some nice stanky gals.

worm moon starts did much better germination rate then the starts done waxing. 15 degrees hotter though now definitely makes the difference.

I had a trifoliate male. It was a sugar plum seed from stony girl gardens. Smelled so much like RKS skunk. My wife thought a skunk had sprayed out back cause he was so loud even in veg. Ended up tossing him as he got a really bad mite problem and I wasn't making seeds at that point. Always sweet looking plants though. What cross is this

One of them is treeman Grand master kush x bangi haze male, and the other is dfg hard dick blues x treemans orange og x sr71.
Rks smell is always dank! I got some in flower indoors from hazeman right now and one reeks like skunk spray. Definitely excited to see how everything plays out this year.

I would kill for a good RKS plant. This male smelled so much like skunk and so little like herb that if I'd smelled it on the road you wouldn't have been able to convince me it was tree. I got a bad clone from a buddy and spider mites showed up. They hopped to that male before I noticed and was able to spray the room. For whatever reason that plant couldn't kick em. Bad peat resistance isn't something I'd like to pass on even with that smell so I chucked him.

Yep, only the strong stable genetics are worthy to be bred, atleast in my opinion.

Yea, they have pros and cons. I certainly intend to take many strains that far over time, I also though don't want to degrade diversity, or mistakenly or unintentionally bred out unknown trait, or breed out the resilency. Also I do believe part of my job as a breeder is to make sure a wide range of people can find a keeper they like outta my packs, and not everyone has same preferences. At f8, either you love it or don't lol. High after rambling, hope that made sense!

Got my lab, Water soluble calcium, and horsetail fpj preps for the year done. As always, Yoda my boxer supervising. He loves lab straining day, as he loves the curds.
