critique my grow room

I am currently growing in a space approx. 10×13×7. I Am running 4 lumatek aircooled 1000s with 4 thunder xxxl 8inch vented hoods with hortilux bulbs. Filter wise I'm running a durafilter 32'' 8'' 1100cfm max connected to a cap valuline 12'' 1060cfm inline fan. I am pulling through the filter and then blowing through the lights and then out of the tent. I have a 4 in. Fan on opposite side of filet blowing fresh air in. Any suggestions or if I'm doing something wrong someone please let me know this is my first decent size grow. I've done a few closets and have read about every decent book worth reading but find that there are just things you can only learn from people with experience. Thanks guys. Forgot to mention im growing dna super lemon og, delicious critical sensi star and a few soma amnesia haze in 3 gal. Breathable bags in promix bx for a total of 50-60 plants.

the only advice i can offer

your ballast they have no cooling on them at all if u go over near that area u will feel alot of heat coming off that

if u remove them from the area u will get a much easier controlled area ..........other then that it is a pretty well done set up .........u need to worry about cooling and if it is as well sealed off as it looks u u can start thinking about adding Co2 to the area

What is the cheapest most efficient way to run co2? Propane? I actually have a natural gas pipe 5 feet away from my room. When you say heat from the balasts they are the air cooled ones with inline fans and really do not get very hot at all my thermometer is at 75-78 with 55 percent humidity if that helps

the cheapest and most effective way

i use brewing moonshine the byproduct of it is pure Co2....i run autos so i can do 24/0 timing....the amount of co2 i get and the fact i end up with 2 gallons of 140% shine for 50 bucks that i can turn around and make 160 to 200 bucks on .........plus trade value u have no idea how many ppl will trade u something for real moonshine saved me thousands of dollars ....plus makes hell of a great gift

other then that the safest way would be Co2 tanks .........the returns in the buds off set the cost of filling and transporting the tanks they sell it most everywhere for soda machines u just need your own tank and look for someone to fill it...... soda machine at local ballpark or man cave(are your excuses)

it looks like u are underground i would not advise u doing a co2 burner set up ...........the burner also makes heat so u need to set up a water cooling system that most come with to reduce this (basically u lose room the heat will increase in the room and fire chance greatly increases)

a regulator is like 75 bucks and a tank is 100. fills are 17 and should last that space a monthish. worth the money though imo. can't really see the tables well and the run off management or the water rez and feeding situation. but the top looks good. no attic to hide the ballasts in. looks good from whats pictured.

Hate to piss on the parade but cheapest and most effective rarely go together.

You can effectively use co2 until your room is sealed. Otherwise..how would you maintain your co2 level? Using regulators and tables and what not is quite honesty a huge waste of money.

Those people have absolutely NO idea what the PPM is. It's not just about room volume, it's also about the size of the plants, their age, and also how jam packed the room is.

Regardless, do a couple runs and if your good at it then save for some AC and co2.

My critique? Since you asked, those hoods suck. Shoudk have went with blockbusters and 8" is just a waste of light unless you have more than 6 hoods chained together.

Other than that, pretty sweet setup. God I remember my first room and how much I geeeked out about it. Now I'm building out a warehouse

This first crop I'm am growing in 3 gallon pots with pro mix my reservoir is a 55 gallon trash can with a sump pump at the bottom after the first turnaround ill be switching to some sort of hydro probably ebb and flow

When you say waste of light you mean escaping through the ducts?

Yeah, it's more of a factor of loosing that reflective area but it's really not a huge deal.

Google air cooled reflector test and look at the results. The blockbuster is hard to beat and it lays down a VERY VERY even pattern of light. I like it so much I ran out and bought 14 of them.

Plus they are not all asinine looking like the XXXL hoods. The light emirates from the sides of the bulb...having a super long hood really makes little sense at all.

Look at all the gavitas that everyone is stroking themselves over ..the reflector is just as long as the bulb.

Not a huge deal..this is all "last 10%" kind of stuff. Just keep them healthy and learn to train well. Then worry about your kit

nice, how do you deal with your waste water? do you have a drain down there? sink?

Looking good - Happy Cultivation -hope your exectrical expense is not to high
Not really worried about electrical expense raising a flag my brother was running 12 bit coin miners which raised his power bill 500 dollars a month and the electric con lang company never said a word. I'm sure it will raise my bill 150 hopefully no more than 200

Yes I do have a drain that the washer drains into but since I'm growing with soil I have very little waste water other than changing the 20 gallons in my ezclone 120 every couple weeks
do you have to run any dehumidifiers in there? is this the first run in that room?

Yes first run and im debating on a dehumidifier the I spray adhesived the poly to concrete walls and have been getting condensation on the walls. My thoughts are the cool concrete wslls with the heat being produced now is causing it but my humidity gauge is staying between 50 and 60 so doesn't seem to be a problem as of now

id definitely budget the 250 bucks for a big dehu like a 70 pt. i have a strong feeling that with all the plants in there, when they are all in full swing that your humidity will be around 70 to 80. that will condense on the walls for sure and that kind of condensation grows black mold very fast. it would be nice if you can place it near the drain and use a step bit to drill through the rez and install a bleeder hose. then you never have to empty the rez and it will naturally just empty itself into your drain. its almost a for sure thing so keep it in mind. see, you got something outta this thread lol
