Colonoscopy

Some of you on the coffee thread know that I went in for my second colonoscopy in the last six months today. A large polyp was found during the first one in March and it turned out to have cancerous growth inside. The Doctor was concerned enough that he scheduled for me for a follow up 6 months later. Today, after the normal prep starting yesterday morning, revealed one very small polyp he thinks he missed the last time, but removed this time. I was awake and watching the screen along with the doctor and the nurse this time and got to see the whole procedure on the big screen! Fascinating!!! The good news is, I don't have to go back until 2015!!! The bad news, I don't get to go to CTSToc or ARSToc because of my weakened conditioned from the fasting and purging of my intestines. So, that's the rest of the story.

Had it done twice, both I was put to sleep, during the second one I woke up towards the end, could hear the doctor talking to an intern discusing the prodeedure, could feel the probe being removed, don't want to go through that again UGH!

The day before was worse for me than the (asleep) procedure itself. All that purging, fuck - now I am really against Flushing !

On the other hand, the peace of mind afterwards is worth it.

i went through the process wide awake, it was interesting, wasn't really all that bad
the laxative purge was probably the worst of it

I have ben thru it myself recently , I was awake by request

I figure it's better to know why your ass is sore - Than to wake up with a sore ass and not be sure what happened

I dont know why they want to put you out anyway , It's not like its painfull , and im sure that the process costs extra big $$, I think my 1 hour surgery costs 80g as was

Man the first time I heard the snap of a glove, I was in a surgical gown on an examination bed, lying on my side. I looked over my shoulder [yep, it was a glove I heard] & said "Your not going to do with that glove what I THINK your going to do?" Despite his assurances that his finger was much smaller than the turds I push out, I leapt to my feet while whacking on my pants in the same motion saying "Fuck off Doc! I don't even let the girls do that!" And left anus intact. In the event I'm in the position where I have little option but to have a long hose shoved up my arse, I will certainly not be wide awake, chatting amicably to the Dr like I'm on a first date, while he rams a lengthy object up my rectum! haha:)
