College Student here

Hi everyone, I'm a college student currently enrolled at Kansas State, actually as a mechanical engineering major. I am absolutely hating life at the moment, and have been considering changing my major. I was considering going into botany, with a minor in business, because I would honestly love to open up a legal dispensary somewhere. I have considered doing that, or trying my hand at growing to supply a dispensary. What advice can you guys give me as far as that goes. I have very little knowledge on the legal system, and have no idea what all it would even take to get to a position like this, because I want to stay as legal as I can.

Also, if it matters, I have a misdemeanor possession charge. Does that affect my ability to run a dispensary or grow for one legally?
