I was reading on FB to take and put an empty Coke Can in bottom of my pot to give the girls more oxygen.

That sounds like something that would come from the 5-minute Crafts page on facebook...
Instead of wasting a perfectly good empty coke can, why not just put more holes in the sides and bottom of the pots?

this is what i did for my 20gal pots an aeration level with hydrotons covered with used coco mulch disks and filled in the rest.

Well it was Gardening . They also said putting a big sponge in the bottom to keep plants wet but not over watering.

From this and another recent post of yours it seems like you REALLY want more oxygen in your rootzone. I'd recommend looking into hydroponic/aeroponic methods of cultivation. Good luck.

@hotrodharley recently posted a tip about using a long skewer to poke holes into soil and wiggle around. It will aerate soil, and will help promote root growth. Great tip for peat based mixes that compact over time.

I heard that if you take a dump in the container after some beer and hard boiled eggs it really helps.

The sponge trick actually works. I don’t do this for my weed plants but for my hanging houseplants that get thirsty rather quickly putting cut up old sponges in the bottom of the containers retains moisture better than nothing at all. I also put those dome thingys under the hanging pots so we don’t get the carpet wet from overflow when watering. A root riot plug or rockwool cube does much the same thing.
For cannabis I would just add perlite and/or vermiculite to the soil mix as needed to increase air to the roots or for moisture retention. Any compost you add like ewc usually needs some perlite added in to help keep it from being too clumpy. Vermiculite is good for keeping the soil from compacting and stays wet long after watering.

Good watering practices ensure that your plants have healthy amounts of oxygen. Proper procedure is more important than trying special tricks.

Good to ask questions, I didn't mean to seem like I was dismissing your experiment. I would keep in mind when you put things in the soil including clay rocks (hydroton) etc you are reducing the actual rootzone capacity of your pot (roots can't grow through rocks etc). If you want the most oxygen possible make sure your not over watering and try increasing how often you water/fertigate.

Actually these plants are tuff and can come back if a little dry.
I have a problem now I tried putting 5 girls in a 4X4 Tent and it is tight.

I have one that had problems as a Clone so it was small. I put it in the middle so it can get better Light.

Yea probably a bit tight. Could probably get away with it using 3 gals and smaller plants.
