Fusion reaction? You're joking, right? Seriously, I can't tell. I do know that were not talking about a fusion power generator. There's know fusion involved in producing light light from exciting metals into plasma under pressure with electrodes.

One critical component of a fusion bomb is a carefully shaped neutron reflector that aims and concentrates neutrons from the fission trigger device (aka an atomic bomb) into a styrofoam core containing deuterium and tritium to create the heat and pressure necessary for the fusion reaction to occur.

I learned that in Jr high school. I was a strange kid lol

I can't even get to those links. It's a TOR thing and nothing wrong with your links.

A wing style reflector lets you adjust your light footprint to fit the grow space where the standard 315CMH ones are too tightly focused for a lot of applications and that's all you got. Cool Tube type wing reflectors are adjustable and have the air cooling if needed as well. I use a cheap open type as I need the heat in my cold basement.

Yeah, I figured it was just a play on the reflectors name.

I've asked people on here and haven't heard anything but good. The one thing is that the 315's are rated to 20,000 hours and the 630's are only rated to 10,000. The math works out though. If you're replacing them twice as often but there's only half as many the cost is the same. The initial set up is cheaper and you get better penetration.

As far as HID lights go they are about the best. Can use them from start to finish as they have strong representation of all the needed light frequencies pot needs to grow well. I wish I could still get the Philips 400W CMH bulbs that run off my 400w HPS magnetic ballasts but they don't make them any more. All stocked up on bulbs now like Hortilux so good to go.

I don't like the ballast/reflector combos tho. Footprint is too small for some configurations and and you can't change that.

isn't that picture of the wing reflector a SE HPS bulb?

I know its a CMH but its the wrong photo.

ive always preferred by CMH vertical. IMHO


ADD: oooh I see now, its uses a SE to CMH style conversion piece.
