clones taste and smell different then mom does

I just harvested some Mazar clones and their mother. the mother plant was vegging indoor since march and in august I threw it out my veg box and sent it to flower outside. I harvested mazar indoor and now outdoor but the clones taste and smell so different from their mother. the mother plant is so much better. Can anyone explain this for me?

simply the enviorment changed. so the plant adapted.
