Campaign 2019

Welcome,

We are starting the year off strong and aim to keep and compound this momentum for the rest of year.

Our goal is to unite and strengthen local Michigan farmers while creating prosperous markets for their products. This will relieve the need for them to market their own products, allow them more time to perfect their work.

This journal will follow our 2019 Campaign. It will feature local Cannabis and produce gardens of the farmers within our Union. More gardens will be featured as our Union grows but we will not use this thread to market our products. More local means will be used for marketing.

We started sowing seeds indoors this month. Corn was first, its doing the best. The weather looks like we will get an extra month growing more than we did last year. Onion bulbs have started along with a number of brambles and larger vegetable plants.There is about 30 different produce varieties for the summer. Our apple supplier should have 4 to 5 varieties, putting us at 35. The Union is now growing Okra, its not very common for the area. Vacationers will probably recognize it before the locals.

We are working on securing fresh egg suppliers. Our goal is to be able to supply dry, household, and homemade goods for the surrounding community along with our produce this year. We are looking to supply them by mid summer. Culinary and medical herbs are the next chapter after that.

If I can spare some extra time I will get some pictures up of the progress. The marijuana is doing great! Its a Haze going on week 3 of bloom, harvest is still a ways away. ETU has plenty of pallets torn apart for any construction we need done. Going to build a market sign after we get everything planted. The main garden has 9 large tasks that need to get done before it becomes the work becomes maintenance and harvesting.
