So a thousand watt bulb just blew up over my four lavender wrecks just before harvest time. Shit! Tried vacuuming the glass dust off but the buds are so sticky it doesn't work well. Any ideas how to salvage? Or what are my other options?
Dunk or rinse really well a few times. A high power spray should help a lot. Resin isn't water soluble so it won't hurt but do it early in the day so the plants can dry well before dark. Glass doesn't burn at smoke temps so if you don't eat it, you'll live to see tomorrow.
wow , that is a major bummer. Not sure what to recommend as this has never happened to me. First thought would be to scrap the crop. Reason being, glass stuck to the bud and I would also be concerned about the gasses from bulb on being on your ladies. No body wants to lose a whole crop tho. Lots to consider.
Thanks, appreciate the comments, those are all good points of view. Might have to trash the bunch, don't want to compromise anybody's health. But what if I can extract without the glass? Like dry ice hash or something. The glass couldn't make it through those little holes, the trichomes can barely squeeze through.
Maybe you could put a pantyhose over the vacuum attachment and get closer to the leaves and bud that way without having to worry the leaves will be sucked in?
