Organic-ish way:
Pyrethrum (extract of dried Chrysanthemum flower heads) will kill on contact, though suffocation. And its residue is removed in around 24hrs (via sunlight and water breakdown).
Then, you could spray with a latex type coating to limit bugs ability to bite into leafs (also can clog their mandibles). A product like 'BioBizz Leaf Coat spray'. Completely safe to use (during veg) over the whole plant.
Not so 'organic' ...
Personally (doing inside grows), when the plants are early in veg, I do a light spray of 'bug clear ultra concentrate. It must be the concentrate (the hand sprays contain a different insecticide). The concentrate version contains Acetamiprid. A mild neonicotinoid and systemic, it stays in the plant system for three months. Timed right, you plan it so its effect wear off later in flower (but, well before harvest). It works and covers most of the plants life cycle. Quite a few industries (including Food) use it and this method
Peace.
