Two different methods but yet can join to make one. I was looking into qwiso, its the same thing. Any method requires a bean hunt and further investment.
For ex. I got a flower rosin strain that yields 11% but the trim dry sift makes 14% total and is almost if not just as good as hash rosin, not live hash rosin with a freeze dryer though.
Well, I personally think it compares but up to what you like. Im sure it would be slightly better since terps add to the medicinal effect.
Anyway I test washed it and got like 5-7% so I have to start over takes dedication investment. It depends how much you want and consistently, a lot of strains wont yield good like any other method but may be more suitable for one of them.
I vape hash only all day every day. I have a 3x3 veg and perpetual 25 square ft flower space. Run clones I can say after a pound and a half it was very consistent. I only grow for rosin.
It wasnt hard to switch over. I made 96gs rosin last run. I just want to get high and end of day have a few dabs of purer rosin like my dry sift rosin. I dont care about raunchy taste you get through out a flower rosin dab.
It will be a crapshoot each time without clones and testing, visual things like heavy frost dont guarentee rosin or lots of it. I may of found a strain that will yield 20% in flower rosin alone. Im just gonna do this.
I didnt like when I bought my press and rarely used it just to not even get rosin every time. Im happy now its in full use. On small scale if you barely dab I think youll be happy, its easier than any other method IMO addicting to use too.
You can get one for pretty cheap like $200 or $100 or $50 used on craigslist or so. You press, collect and dab thats it. Then can work up to bubble rosin if you still want to.
On small scale makes sense but as a dabs only guy and my small space I would need a unicorn miracle to do bubble rosin only and still get 2gs a day worth to dab full time.
