They do slightly. I Noticed a 1-2mph reduction in top speed, but it’s well worth it to have the confidence to roll through most situations with ease.
As far as range, not much difference noticed.

happy day, friends! my weekend was very sloth-like. i joined a book club which meets on wednesday so i've been trying to get through the selection in time to be properly condescending to the other members.

Love it! Yes, he was a pilot and flew Hueys, stationed in Pleiku 67-68. He got to fly one again at a VHPA reunion in 2016, and within a year his mobility was pretty bad that it wouldn’t have been possible. He ranked that day as one of the best of his life.
