Black Dog seed order stuck in USPS limbo

USPS was gutted a few years ago. I won't mention any names but the idiot openly bragged about working to defund USPS so that it wouldn't be able to handle universal mail in voting.

Some people like to slam USPS but for the cost it's a very good value and has worked pretty damn good for decades. When you have a CEO of a company and the Postmaster is the CEO of USPS actively undermining the productivity of a company the company is not going to function as efficiently as it could. People shouldn't blame USPS for what has basically been sabotage to the logistics of the operation.
The simple fact DeJoy owned a logistics company who was trying to compete with the USPS
What could possibly go wrong ?

UPS? Lol. Living in Browning MT. My last name is Brown. My mom sent Christmas cookies. A week later she gets them back. Wrong Brown. In fucking Billings MT. The box CLEARLY addressed.

She reships and Bill Brown in Great Falls refuses the shipment because he doesn’t know anyone in NM. Couldn’t be for him.

By the third try it was after New Years and they were crumbs. Further UPS does NOT deliver everywhere or even close.

Support the USPS.
I have my own gripes with UPS as well. I've caught a few drivers not bothering to try to deliver and just updating the tracking with a few different 'couldn't deliver' excuses. One was even stupid enough to park outside our house, not bother to come out of the truck and pretend. I sat on my upstairs porch and watched him not even leave the truck.

I also had UPS deliver a package that was very specifically direct signature required...forging a signature and dumping the package on our steps on a busy urban street, a few feet from the sidewalk. It was worth well over a couple grand. I happened to be hawking the tracking so that once they tried & didn't get a signature that I'd pick it up at the warehouse in town. and was really surprised when it showed as 'delivered/signed' with no one home. When I checked with them for the signature info...not us, not any of our neighbors...made up name.

UPS driver flat out stole one of those Bose sound wave systems he was supposed to deliver to my brother. Ultimately he got one but it was a huge hassle because he had allegedly delivered it. Took 6 weeks of unnecessary bullshit to finally receive what he’d already paid for.

I've ordered multiple items past few months that USPS in handling. One order shipped a week ago from last Monday, checking the tracking online it sat there a few days after USPS got it, then went somewhere a few days later. Then start of this week I see it is at a location maybe 100 miles from where I am. Been there ever since, no further updates

I sort of figure there's bad actors in all delivery companies...but some seem to be worse than others. Around here FedEx is the most reliable.

Here’s a bit of information from my postal worker neighbor. You are not seeing actual USPS tracking in many cases. When third party shippers are doing the actual shipping you only see what the third party shipping shares with the USPS. Parcel Pool is one of these shippers. A package showed that the “shipping partner” had received the package in Anchorage AK. Then it just sits. So I go to the post office.

First their tracking is far more detailed than what we see in tracking information. So Gavin checks the status on the package.

Wrong! “The package is actually probably on the barge from Kent WA. It will probably arrive in a couple of days. The actual shipper reported it in Anchorage the minute it was placed on the damned barge.”

A few years back I had an order from The Vault shipped from Scotland to the east coast . Shipped promptly and hit NY in about 3 days. I'm thinking "yippee ! 3 days or so and delivered !" .

Then it goes from NY to Chicago, wtf ? . Then it went back and forth from Chicago to another PO about 30 miles outside of Chicago 5-6 times . Finally it started heading back east .

When I got it about 3 weeks after being shipped I immediately saw the problem . My zip has three 1's in it . They had hand written the label and the 1's were done in the Scotch form , appearing as 7's to a sorting machine .

Last stop before heading in the right direction was the facility outside of Chicago . When I finally got it the zip had been manually changed to reflect the correct destination . All I can figure is that an observant employee finally said "why does this keep getting kicked out of the flow" and took the initiative to look up the correct information and get it on the way back .

USPS is a crap shoot these days .

Sweet relief here too. Very late yesterday evening, the USPS tracking was updated and shows the QB's left New York State and were processed by Canada Customs @ Pearson Airport in Toronto, ON. Canada Post has 'em - now I get to watch their performance.

With the "May 2-4" weekend now upon us, I reckon they will be here sometime next Tuesday.

So are you still unimpressed with them?
