Looking for best organic wetting agent. Have used yucca but looking for a better alternative. Using to water soil.

Nothing wrong with it. I'm just looking for a cheaper better alternative. Always am lol I've used the RAW yucca extract and was happy with it except for the price and the fact it's an extract so you can't be positive what's in it. The one thing I really liked was the supposed nutrients benefits to the soil, fungal and plant yucca offers besides its wetting potential. If I could get some organic whole material I could boil or soak I would be very happy. Looking into the horse chestnuts but having trouble finding a source. Is it the husk or the actual meat of the nut?

Also wondering if molasses works as a wetting agent at all.

Also if alfalfa works as a wetting agent should I even be worried about a wetting agent or does the occasional alfalfa ferment have me covered?

I use silica as a wetting agent. I think horsetail is a plant organic growers use to make their own silica, but I don't think there is much of a difference between inorganic and organic silica but I haven't done my research

I went with yucca meal in my soil mix this last time, but I've seen BuildASoil or KIS Organics, one of them had the soap nuts which with those numbers looks really interesting for my next soil batch.
